OMG! Did you ever hit the nail on the head with your straightforward talk about becoming an "artist". I am now 72 years young and can tell you that I have had the desire to create beauty in art for so long. I really wish I had saved some of my ugly artwork from long ago, so i could go back and compare. Since I started taking your lessons my faces have improved so very much. I will forever be eternally grateful for your teaching skills. You are an awesome artist and a phenomenal teacher. By the way when I first started watching your youtube videos I had no desire to draw faces but now I see faces in everything and I am able to enhance what I see because of your teachings. Even animals have descriptive faces and it certainly helps to know how to bring out their beauty and expressions with abilities taught by you in your many lessons. I sent this over to my mom who has 2 kids that are advanced I would say art wise and says she can't even draw a stick figure! It would be an amazing thing if she tried and we could create together! I felt this at first but I promised myself to practice for at least an hour a day which turned immediately into an obsession because I loved it yet I was only0🎉 producing crap after crap but I'm too head strong to let anything defeat me. Especially an art supply that even kids can paint well with. But I kept at it and I kept every single page I painted which was so smart because as I got to the 3-4 month area I began to have a pity party saying ok maybe this is the one thing that I'll just never be good at. Then as I was feeling low, stewing about the money I had wasted on a tall stack of expensive cotton watercolor paper so I started going through the stack and it was then that I could see everythingi had learned and the improvements that I had made which gave me the motivation that I needed in that moment that was screaming loudly at me saying hey lady don't be an idiot, your on the right track, keep going , every one began in their art journey the same way. Look at all u have accomplished!!! It takes time. Keep practicing. You gotta just do the work to get the reward. So I've kept going strong 4-6 hrs a day every day except 1 for a small surgery. For exactly 1 year today. I started at age 56 . I'm not here to eventually be a working artist. I'm here so that I have a hobby that I love and brings me joy. And it helps me to get my mind off of my pain n levels while I paint .

Love and Light I love you. Honestly first time I watched you months ago I wasn’t attracted. Today your video called me and you and I are One. Your attitude. Your family. Your Art. My life. I’m older than you 62 raised 3 kids all have kids. Now care for 2 Seniors - husbands mom and brother. Brother has tried to Jill himself 6 x in 2 yrs. Yeah I needed stress relief too. It’s been since 2019. I started either Acrylic and am now onto Pastels and Watercolors. I wanted to just say I am. I create. That book by Erin W. Set me on my path of Awakening and Art … Anyways it’s so important to go inside while your creating you connect with your internet Christ. I take online classes as I can no get out. Great back ground about yourself. When I’m feeling negative now I just watch one of your videos and I can feel the fun start to simmer until it reaches boiling point and I start drawing. I totally understand about some artist being a bit snobbish. I think it’s the same in all walks of life. When I was a potter the term ‘ ceramic artist’ made me cringe. I was just a potter. Same in the beauty world when I was a hairdresser all the different names you could call yourself . I couldn’t even spell them 😂 let a lone pronounce them 😂. When learning I think you need the right student and the right teacher . Your personality’s have to have a common attraction to each other. ❤❤Thankyou for the time love and passion you bring to so many people around the world ❤❤

Hey Karen I’m 57 and proud of my age lol! Yes I’m a late bloomer but it’s so much fun. My problem is I don’t do as much as I should which is my fault. I was in your class you had last year the fairy class that free for 20 weeks I believe. Well after that was over I just didn’t feel I was good enough so I went on to junk journaling it was fun and waaay expensive I did that for a while and just a couple months ago I said Robyn get it together I know now all I want to do is Art and mix media so I put those things away got out my Art supplies and I’m sticking to it. I hadn’t realized how much I missed it and it’s cheaper lol!! I’m still following you because I adore you and always will. Thank you so much for getting me there! I absolutely love this ❤ Before 3 years ago the only art I had ever really done was painting with my kids. Sports was my thing and being a support worker as that’s where I found my joy. Then 3 years ago my entire world changed and I was diagnosed with a very fast growing and aggressive cancer. I had to stop all sports and work and was very scared of what’s next what do I do. I have 7 children and I love them more then life but I was thinking well what do I now do. During my journey I found a few artists that brought me joy and you were one of them. Even on a rough day you made me smile. I didn’t know the type of art I wanted to do but knew I found joy in the videos I watched. So jump ahead 3 years later and by no means am I amazing but I’m enjoying my journey and the art I create and have had so much fun teaching my children what you have taught me. So thank you so much for that. We don’t have to be the best at something to inspire others. As long as you enjoy what you do that’s what counts ❤ Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us 😊❤

I am turning 51 on Halloween, same birthday as my mom. 😂I actually am a pro photographer who holds a BFA in Photography with a background in graphic design, fine art mediums,(watercolor, sculpture, illustration, printmaking, oils life drawing, etc.), and I’m also an equestrian who shows horses.
