These 15+10 games are so much better than the lower time control speed runs! So much more in depth explanation. Really hoping you stick with this format for future speed runs.

Me too, ideal time control for speedruns. When I play 15+10 I find that every second passes quickly, but with Danya it seems like he has all the time in the world!

Its a shame there's next to 0 15+10 tutorials on KZbin. Everybody so hard on for blitz games I get near 0 instructional value. Danya/Gotham got 100 vids + I easily coukd rewatch 3 times over and still not remember shit but still wish there was more

1:12:20 This is technically a fork, but this is technically a check mate :D Btw Murad the 4th was a Ottomon Empire Sultan who ruled between 1623 to 1640. He is remembered by the ban of alcohol, tobacco and cofee usage. The punishment was dead. Historians says he took that measures after a big Istanbul fire. He in disguise was personally checking if his rules were being followed by public. But he kept his own heavy drinking behaviour and that was the most probable reason of his death.

I love that Danya is gracious enough to wind down the clock educating us, while giving the benefit of time to his opponent to contemplate the position. A nice way to help make it more balanced and appear “competitive”

Dude imagine being this player. I'd be thinking "jeeze, this guy is just squeezing me the whole game, Im barely keeping up with him" the whole time, and then I'd get the message refunding my rating and find out I was keeping up with a GM for most of the game.

I have to thank Danya for the ideas I learned in these speed runs. I won a couple rapid games playing the Alapin and developing the knight to a3 and b5, creating threats against the black queen and king fork on c7.

People at this rating level have a line against the Alapin but they only know 3 or 4 moves after that... 5...Qb6 ok I'm a bit hazy on the theory at this point. 🤣

I had a great alapin win today after watching this game. I hardly know any of the theory, but these videos help and most of the moves come natural compared to other anti sicilians I have tried.

That's the best a sub-2000 player has played against Danya. Black was really thinking about his moves and understood what he was doing. He just ran a bit short of time and got squeezed by some "GM" moves. A very impressive game by Black,

There’s a great speed run game where danya gets low on time and blitzes out 5 moves instantly for a checkmate right after saying something like “don’t worry this is enough time to win”

when you make a recommendation for a certain rating range, is it based on winning percentage for that rating range, ease of converting the position to a win (assuming you win a pawn or a piece), how easy it is to learn. how much theory you avoid, what is it based on?
