Hello, I first want to say, as a former disability advocate (Canadian) I love the concept of your cafe’ well done. Having 340 (now 393) people in one room is a terrific way to frame this experience. Yes, conversion around disability is still lacking!! You’re encouraging me to revisit this idea. Be proud you’re doing a great job.

Thank you so much! I so appreciate you taking the time to comment and provide encouragement! Would love to hear how you continue to step into advocacy in your own life and sphere. :)

Hi Kathryn, stepping into advocacy continues to show up anywhere I am as I use a scooter, walker, and breathing ventilator. As you know promoting or asking for access is an ongoing educational exercise. I’ve had two careers, (22 yrs) one as a private family therapist who specialized in disability and illness adjustment as well as speaking and teaching on accessibility training. After retiring, I transitioned into website-related work (suzyweb 10+yrs). Now, I am trying to retire again but …that is boring, so I am considering dusting off my YT channel to reinvent it again. Contemplating… any suggestions would be welcome.
