Her name is Nia Peoples, an actress and singer, who was on the tv series, Fame in the 80s and also played Ranger Sidney Cook, on the series, Walker, Texas Ranger. After their son was born, Howard wrote the song, "Say Amen." You should definitely check out his performance of his song, "Once, Twice, Three Times." Live at the Apollo. In that performance, you'll see that Mr. Hewitt's voice and swag was the same in the 90's as it was when he was with Shalamar in the 70's.

One of my favorite songs of his is from that Album/CD called "This Time" - The Lyrics, Melody, the Love and Sentiment are incredible as well as the music behind it and the background Vocals. Just a "Gem!" 💎 You have to be a Howard Fan or fan of good music to know that one. One more hidden Gem from him is a song with the Jazz group called "The Rippertons". That song is called "I Found Heaven" - All those songs are about Heavenly LOVE ❤️ beyond the Physical. Which goes back to the classic Howard line from the Shalamar Classic "For The Lover In You" where he sings at the break beat "With ah Woman like you I don't need to play around" - "I can say I've never met ah girl (oh no) who satisfies my mental and my physical thang". Jody Whatley of Shalamar went Solo and broke tremendous records and Jeffrey Daniel the third member of Shalamar taught Michael Jackson how to do the "Moonwalk". My uncle would take me to those shows as a kid and I saw Jeffrey Daniel do the Moonwalk on stage with Shalamar at least three or four year's before he taught Michael Jackson how to do it. Mike saw Shalamar perform and he hired Jeffrey Daniel to teach him. That's History - Anyone can look it up!! It's on KZbin. You just tapped into more than what you actually have realized. *Great job
