What a great remake, really enjoyable! May I ask how it comes that the steel drum sounds so "rolling". It's my favourite sound of the song, it's like a pad somehow adding a lot of vibe. Is it just the patch sounds or do you somehow modulated it manually?

You can play and Record to your DAW in realtime using the mc707 as your soundcard. Regarding recording of external plugins through the mc707 I’m not sure. But there is an arpeggio inside the mc707 that you can trigger from external keys :)

I want to record synthpop at home. What can this do for me in terms of composing? I had considered a tr-8s with a daw or mpc, and a midi keyboard. What would you recommend? I don’t have any synth gear atm only bass/guitar/interface.

The MC 707 is a better choice for programming entire songs. It is almost like a DAW without PC..:) Great for beat making and composing ideas. 😃😃
