There's that great line in the remake of "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" where Stellan Skarsgård invites Daniel Craig to come into the house after he's caught him creeping around. it's why you should learn how to be disagreeable. One woman who almost got raped by Cosby started cursing him out the second she felt something was wrong. He started acting offended and said she shouldn't use such bad language but reality was it actually scared him enough to call her a cab, because he sensed if he went through with it she wasn't the type that would hide it. Of course that is an extreme situation but in general being disagreeable will take you further in life.

When something traumatic happens or just something you’re not used to seeing, like being confronted by sexual predator, especially at 19 you’re not going to be able articulate and react to it because it’s a brand new experience. Most people don’t recognize and understand true evil until something bad happens to them.
@boogerz20005 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's just about people being too polite to know what to do. Most of these types of stories happen to people in their youth, when it's not so much about being polite or not, as it is about simply not knowing what to do because you've never been in the situation before. If you were raised well by your parents you would probably be so shocked, you simply blank out like Charlize said. As you grow and gain experience about the world and the people in it, you come to realizations about what's going on and how to handle it so you can call the person out on it later like she did.

@varuntulsyan25585 жыл бұрын
It's still hard. Sometimes you don't wanna relive the horror by coming out with your truth, other times you're not ready for the repurcussions after you've outed a powerful guy. Even after Weinstein, men in power will start a witchhunt against you, there are smear campaigns, victim-blaming and victim-shaming and worse yet, nobody believes a lone accuser. Weinstein faced justice because in a chain reaction dozens and dozens of women came out against him, including prominent actresses. You can see how much fucked up it all really is. Even after Weinstein.

Hollywood might not shun her but she could significantly damage her kids' lives by getting dragged into an extremely expensive and emotionally draining legal battle for slander and defamation of character. But he persisted and ended up touching my thights and private parts. After the third time I got up and changed places on the plane. He kept looking at me. That was the scary part. If this had happened today I would make sure he was arrested but back then (naive) I ended up thinking that the whole situation was somehow my fault (and I was in a very old pair of jeans and a Polo T-shirt (nothing that could remotely look sexy). Would be the right thing to do..
@Duusska5 жыл бұрын
That would be probably the end of her career ;p It's sad, but it's true. If women don't talk about this stuff right away, when it happened, but after a few years, or even when they said it right away but the man is famous and woman is not, than many people thinks that she is making this up "to ruin the poor mans career". So it's easier not to say the names ;p Of course there are women who fabricate such things. That's why the real victims suffer from it ... Because of that nobody believes them even if they tell the truth.

Weirdly it’s shady and immoral but not illegal at that point, from what she said he didn’t threaten to ruin her career if she didn’t do something or promise her something if she did, that’s the line and he probably knows it which is why he’s still producing.

At 19, Theron flew to Los Angeles, on a one-way ticket her mother bought for her, intending to work in the film industry.During the initial months there, she went to a Hollywood Boulevard bank to cash a check her mother had sent to help with the rent. When the teller refused to cash it, Theron engaged in a shouting match with him. Upon seeing this, talent agent John Crosby, waiting behind her, handed her his business card and subsequently introduced her to casting agents and also an acting school. She later fired him as her manager after he kept sending her scripts for films similar to Showgirls and Species

Ambassador of Truth a lot of men don’t respect women. They can be very mean and nasty to them but also can act very inappropriately towards them. Touching them when they haven’t given permission to them, sending a pic of your dick to them when they haven’t give you permission to. Men need to treat women better. Bottom line.
