Nelson ( Hospital ) Gala 1965

Back in the swinging 60`s these events in Nelson were common place. This particular event was to raise funds for the Hospital. Nowadays there are no such events and the town of Nelson isn't even a shadow of its former glory.

They demolished Nelson hospial a couple of years later to drive the M65 through. It used to be about where the rondabouts are between the college and the canal.

Reedyford hospital wasn't demolished until the early eighties
