Great informative video. We have had ours since she was about a month old and would fit in the palm of our hands. I have trained her to potty outside, have praised her and give her freedom to run the house for 1/2 hour daily at least. She is turning 6 and hangs out with dogs and even cats with no issues. She is so domesticated and smart. She gets lots of love and attention. Never poops in her cage. She is just like the dog, when you say treat or lets take a bath, she runs away from the bath. They are awesome reptiles.

Beta males are idiots who want to be alpha so they can have the money and the bitches. Alpha males know that in species with pack hierarchy, and in our case, civilization, being alpha is about responsibility as much as dominance. Keep that in mind next time you find yourself being a dominant beta-male. Yes, dominant beta-male... the type that leads a pack or even civilization to potential to extinction in their quest for power, money, and the bitches. Reptiles are simple creatures. Pack mammals, and humans are not. We depend on each other for survival. True alphas have both dominant traits and leadership/responsibility traits. Dominant betas are idiots.

Never assume it's always the larger dragon that exerts dominance. I had a "breeding pair" given to me as a gift, and we always assumed the smaller one was female. While they still shared a tank together, "she" would always dominate her larger male housemate. Even now, when they see eachother, the bigger one will wave and walk away while the smaller one spastically headbobs
@mrcheesemunch10 жыл бұрын
I have a similar situation our big one is like the big one in the video and my one is like that smaller one only bigger. Whenever they meet(separate tanks) the bigger one goes crazy with head bobbing while mine waves, seemingly in submission. But the big one doesn't wave back so he just runs over and attacks it, even though he's small and skinny in comparison.

I love bearded dragons they make such great pets and are so easy to care for, sadly this week my female bearded dragon named Roxy passed away she was 14 years old which is a very good age for a beardie but she recently began to loose interest in food which isn't unusual for most beardies but she never went off a meal so i took her to the vet they said she was old and had a small tuma on her spine so i took her home but she began to get worst and started fitting in the night then in the morning i was getting ready to take her back to have her put asleep but she was already gone she died on her favourite resting spot i,ll truly miss her RIP Roxy xxx Please dont let this put you off on getting a bearded dragon they make such rewarding pets and leave you with some wonderful memories
