The description of this video has links to some playlists I've made for Basic Soldering. I also added some links to help you find items that are similar to what I'm using in this video.

thanks for making this feel super comfortable initially, im going to start looking into console modding for those without options that dont include soldering some of the more obscure consoles only have mod chips or ode's that require soldering, also hdmi replacements for the old video ports.

Okay so I'm trying to repair a bunch of PS3 controllers and I found out a lot of the ports are broken on the inside is there a video on how to replace and what to and how to use flex on even like an HDMI port so I can kind of get the concept

I need to solder a bolt nut to a screw so that I can take it out will a soldering iron be enough?
@HowDoYouDIY Жыл бұрын
I don't think a soldering iron would be enough for that. I would recommend looking into plumbing solder techniques for that.

see now this the video i should have watched before i got into soldering 😭

the only reason to use thicker solder for bigger parts is time saving. it doesn't actually create an issue unlike using thick solder on a tiny part and flooding it accidentally.

But don't you need a hot air station for most electronics works ?
