Maybe you should wait until the summer. You can’t just get rid of half the squad because they are not up to the class and strength of say Arsenal & Liverpool . It takes time and careful management because of spending restrictions.

This an evolution for both Howe and the players. He tactically outthought Spurs but that doesn’t mean it’s a ‘winning formula’. Now he’s learnt to adapt, he must do it on a game by game basis. The formation & style for the next 5 games have to all be very different from each other.

The recent results have papered over the cracks. The West Ham win was a freak result. We couldn't beat Everton at home. Fulham should've been 3-0 up at half-time. Spurs were atrocious, but we took our chances, and that gave Howe a false sense of security. Elliot Anderson essentially played as a left back because we were defending all the game, and the manager decided to leave it. No foresight at all.

Players were not scared to shoot. They were not in the positions to shoot in the first place. He says he was not happy with what he was seeing... waits until 60+ minutes for a miracle to happen playing the same formation and we go a goal behind. What is he waiting for? Some managers make changes immediately even with 30 min on the clock when they see it is not working. Even the commentators were having a field day criticising the tactics. Ah it is just a sad situation, which will end in more disappointment. The club needs to hire a coach who can handle different teams not just attacking ones.
