There's more to the story about the "import" business that blossomed in Everglades City. Commercial fishing was phased out by not issuing any more permits leaving everyone without a job or income. They had the boats, the docks and a service that they could provide to survive. So they did.
@Howe2Live2 жыл бұрын
Great point and I did have that point in the original cut but the storyline grew too long so it got cut down. But I'm glad you brought it up. Its important to know how big gov regs effect people and hard working communities. As a commercial fisherman for 6 years myself - they did the same thing to us in the Northeast in the 90s. Thanks for watching my friend and stay safe out there. Mike H2L

How did you get your boat to go those speeds none of the other ones are that fast?
@Howe2Live2 жыл бұрын
Great question. Some of the outboard cats do go as fast as an MTI 390X but that’s on perfect conditions. What separates the 390X from other outboard cats is that it can go very fast in rougher water. It’s the fastest “rough water” outboard cat made - very stable and not flighty in the windy chop. Many outboards are just not there yet. 390Xs are the kings of go fast outboards right now by pretty big margins. I’ve also had my 390X made to be the lightest and had it professionally tuned and rigged by World Champion Shaun Torrente. Lastly, driver’s ability to know his boat and its capability in certain conditions also matters. I have the most miles of anyone in the world on both the 340x and 390x to date. Experience matters. Thanks for watching and great question.

No saltwater crocodiles in America 🤷🏻
@Howe2Live2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so Victor for watching and your comment. There are actually quite a few crocodiles in southern Florida and while there are not technically called salties as that's reserved for the Aussie croc.. they do reside in the salt water estuaries of the Everglades and Keys. They are also one of the largest crocodiles species in the world. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_crocodile I've personally seen them out in front of our place at Big Pine Key. As a Biology major on college, I'm also very aware of the difference in head shape between the croc and alligator. And yes I was surprised to actually see them in the Keys, but yes they do exist right next to alligators and yes they can be very big. Although the ones I've seen are about 6'-7', there are sightings of the saltwater American Croc in the 13-15' range in the Southern Cape - where Sarah and I camped for Covid. Again thanks for watching boat safe boat happy:)
