I really admire how you keep a pretty good attitude through all of that crap. The breakdowns myself I can handle they don’t bother me. Happened to me once. Driving a bee truck dragging a forklift trailer. Coming out of the beeyard down a country lane, we stopped unexpectedly and then watched the left trailer wheel pass the truck and meander down the lane until coming to a stop. At least we had the forklift to help in our repair. I checked the lug nuts religiously after that episode! Been there Ryan, done that.

You have my sympathies on the wheel coming off. I was cruising down the highway when I felt a wobble in the back of my truck and then saw a wheel go flying past me. At 60mph (within the speed limit). Fortunately, the truck has duals and only an outside wheel came off. But all I could think of as the loose wheel sailed down the highway was what an attorney friend said in a similar situation---"ABSOLUTE LIABILITY!" . No one was hurt and I found the loose wheel in an orchard. Scary when it happens and still scary over 10 years later. I torque them twice now and torque them again after a few miles. And I do not trust the shops to torque them right. However, I do not think incorrect torque settings caused your problem The studs sheared off.

Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. I lost a tire on a tandem axle trailer once and another time I was pulling a utility trailer with a portable toilet loaded on it when the hitch on the trailer broke. And both times the way I knew I had lost them was they passed me up as I was driving down the road. That was weird to see a toilet on a trailer pass me as I drove down the road. :-) Cheers...

You are very lucky that there wasn't any on coming cars, and yes things usually happen in 3's but someone was saying a prayer for both of you. I hope from now on things get better and no accidents either. Travis was saying how your sister got hit on that inner section and how dangerous it is. Also Travis having you and his friend helping him out. I would of gone stair crazy. I have been that way cuz in the last 6 years I probably been in the hospital 4 of the 6 it was b never ending thing until last June I blew up at the doctors that I was resistant to the antibiotics and they finally changed it and I haven't been in the hospital for 9 months now and I listen to you Ryan and Travis on all your videos which reminds me of the good times in farming, It was my dream to farm my grandfather land until 98 things turned to the worst with a knee infection and possibly some joint involvement and yes 2 yrs later MRI showed torn cartilage and I have lost 200 lbs and have another 150 to go atleast but with 150 I can get my knee replacement and a shoulder also as livestock is hard on you hogs for sure not so much cattle but hope you have a better day and week ahead and Travis gets the 7100 fox and back. I feel that I jinx Travis as I said get your tractor back and get all the kinks out of it so he can work it this spring and bale with it.

We were following the car back to our hotel in the middle of nowhere, late at night when it lost its wheel. They were special wheel nuts. Luckily we were able to go back up the road and under the headlights found all the bright chrome nuts on the edge of the road.
