A first look at the new Control Lab that allows park-goers to be the scare-masters for unsuspecting haunted house visitors.

Busch Gardens® Williamsburg is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its hair-raising Howl-O-Scream event this year and 2018 promises to be the scariest year ever. Open select dates through Oct. 28, Howl-O-Scream debuts a host of new features for this celebratory year. New scares coming in 2018 include:
3 Haunted Houses - 7 total
5 Bars - 6 total
2 Terror-tories™ - 6 total
2 Party Zones
1 No Escape (Escape Room Experience) - 2 total

We just did the Jack's nightmare escape room last Sun and totally enjoyed that one!! We didn't make it out had 1 more clue to find to unlock the last lock and didn't make it, but tons of fun!! ~Dawn

i've been through vault like four times and ive always looked and never seen jack yet ugh. also the actor that plays freakenstein in control lab is so great i had a great conversation with him the last time i went because the park was so empty

In the Vault XX, where the wine shelf was, there was a man on the other side hitting the shelf with a hammer. My dad's friend pointed him out and ended up getting the crap scared out of him by the same dude! XD

Did they say why Demented Dimensions got moved? Only in Tampa 1 year and was my favorite maze. Seems like an odd move.

So weird, we're even down a house this year, so it's not like they were trying to make room. Haven't been this year yet, but I believe the location which housed DD sits empty this year. 🤷‍♂️ Enjoy it though! I loved how random and unexpected the scenes flowed.
