No expert here but I do own a set of Katanas. The slow side is what I'm guessing the OG2 carpet, but the fast side is VERY stiff. Reminds me of paracord. I sent it through 2 cycles of pre-break in and it still feels stiff. 1/3 vinegar 2/3 hot water, 1 hour soak and rinse then tumble dry.

@lwmhawj348 I got mine in and yes the fast side is stiff. I did 1 cup vinegar hot water and let soak 1hr then tumble dry on low heat 1hr but I added 1.5 bottle caps of wrinkle guard and it loosened up the fast side alot. I have thrown about 100 rounds and they seem to be breaking in nicely.
