How to add Refrigerant to AC System on 2008 Nissan Frontier using Artic Freeze 134A Refrigerant

This Video shows how to Top-off the AC System of a 2008 Nissan Frontier Equipped with a 4.0 L V-6 Engine Using a DIY Product called Artic Freeze found at your local Auto Parts Store.
During the Video we also explain how to check the AC System Pressure using a set of Gauges to ensure that the AC System actually needs refrigerant and the Cycling on and off of the AC Compressor is not caused by a blockage or a defective Compressor before adding Refrigerant.

Good Video. When the compressor turns on does it stay at 35 or does it drop after you refilled it.

Does not stay and you should add refrigrant till it reaches 35ps when it kicks on at this level stop adding refrigrant.

I have them same gauges set. And I have to shut off one side to check the other. The high side bleeds over to low side. I wonder if mine are faulty. I see you was able to read both at same time.

Mine is reading between 40 and 50 PSI with A/C on Max. Pressure is not dropping, just staying there. Not blowing really cold air either. What gives?

LEE and CHRISSIE BARRETT the system wasn't empty. Just low. Only time you vacuum is after it's been emptied. Or after a repair.

Stay away from McGavock and Nissan! I bought a new 2005 Xterra The radiator leaks coolant into the transmission. Nissan extended the warranty covering this problem to 8 years or 80,000. I started having trouble long before this. But they wouldn’t honor the warranty until coolant was found in the transmission fluid which happened under 80,000 but I was 2 months over the time period. They would not work with me locally (McGavick) or nationally. I really liked the truck so I shelled out the money for a new transmission, radiator and fixings. Now less than 10,000 miles and 2 years coolant in transmission again. Again no help at local or national. Stay away from Nissan. They could care less about you!
