For all y'all asking why ppl need wheel spacers. I bought a brand new set of tires, read online they wouldn't rub at all. At full crank they rub a little bit and they almost brush against my knuckle. I would like to stop the rubbing so wheel spacers are a valid option.

👍👾 good video - Use anti sieze on the face of hub to spacer and contact points from spacer to wheel they will mend together over time. Use locktight lite on spacer studs. The blue stuff not the red. I never use locktight on studs to wheel but maybe just a dab..

Not supposed to put any type of lubrication on lug nuts. When you torque the lug nuts they will be over torqued because of the lubrication on the stud. You always torque lug nuts when they are clean and dry.

Anti seize should go on the backside of the spacer to prevent rust and corrosion

I was a professional mechanic at a trucking company and if you put anti seize on your bolts 9/10 you will have a wheel off.

Your torque spec on the wheel hub is 140ft lbs. but if I you torqued the wheel on to the spacer to the 140ft lbs you will break loose the wheel spacers studs so getting the wheels off will be nearly impossible since the stud and nut will rotate together instead of coming off.

Don't put anti seize on wheel spacers, worst advice I've ever heard. You use the opposite, high grade Loctite. Unless you're okay with your wheels flying off...

it would be impossible for the wheels to fly off....the lugs holding the spacer on the the disk cannot back themselves out against the rim. At best, if they did come loose,...the rims would vibrate. Goodness gracious people....think.

Anti-seize is the best thing you can add to your lugs. Proper torque is more important. Lugs aren't going to fly off because you've applied a bit of anti-seize.

No i don't have a vibration problem. if you are having that problem, I would retorque all the spacers and make sure they are 100% flush

The Hub Centric Rings help to remove Vibration problems caused by deep dish rims or spacers. Most new rims are dual drilled 6 lugs so the Hub slot in the center is cut for the larger Hub, so its likely it will NOT fit around your hub snuggly, my old truck had this problem and i was not aware of the Centric Rings as i bought 20x12s right as they first started being pushed, as soon as i bought the Centric Rings it got rid of all the wheel play/vibrations/shaking/wobbling caused by the gap around the Hub. If you happen to add spacers and then the deep rims without puttin these Rings on your wheel is going to literally vibrate off while your driving, unless your lucky and the Hub slotting is matched to your HUB because its the largest 6 lug Hub, but GMC/Chevy trucks that are 99-07 i can confirm need the Hub Centric Rings if the wheels are dual drilled

Well I was asking because I lifted using some spindles. When i finally got done, my oem wheels didn't fit onto the spindles and had to run and buy cheap wheel spacers to get the wheel off the spindles. After that, I got this nasty vibration and after some research, figured out it was the spacers and that it's a common issue with wheel spacers. Got my wheels and tires a couple days later and that bad shake went away for the most part. Now I'm just struggling to get the shake out of these 35" tires. Hub centric rims fixed the shake on my bmw so I already knew to order them after the second road force balance didn't solve the shake. Need to install then though

I had to remove my mud flaps as well as trim the front plastic piece on the bottom of the front bumper. besides that I have good clearance. and I don't have spacers in the front, only the rear.

Yes that is to an extent. They don't work on vehicles with spacers because they don't want to go against the vehicles factory design. but when i used to work there a jeep came in with 1 inch spacers and we torqued them for the guy. but most of the times they don't allow spacers.

I would rather drive with a smaller tire than drive on a flat tire and have a possibility of messing up my expensive rims! Most small cars have a factory spare and it is usually smaller than the size of the actual tires on the vehicle.

Word of caution. Be careful doing this. If it happens on the front you'l be fine as long as you don't put it in 4wd. But if it happens on the rear put a good tire on the back and put the spare on the front. Smaller tires rotate faster than larger ones and can cause issues. Ask me how I know. :-/ lol

Most people get them for looks. When you space out the wheels it gives the truck for of a stance, which also helps with stability. when people lift trucks they are more likely to tip over and when you put on spacers it gives the truck more stance to not tip over.

Yes, it wears out suspension/alignment components faster and puts more strain on wheel bearings causing premature failure. Am I running really deep offset rims AND spacers regardless? Hell yeah. Do I know it'll make my truck break faster? Hell yeah. Will I deal with it when it fails? Hell yeah. But does it look badass? Hell. Yeah.
