This is really helpful. I.m gonna tey it now. In the past weak i found 10 lighters thrown away 8 of which had gas in the and 5 of those 8 are working good. The remaining 3 have small defects and cannot be fixed easily. So i will try to fill the 2 empty lighters with the gas from those 3 not-working ones.

Be careful doing this I tried somthing similar with a bic lighter but I was just trying to take the butane out so I shoved a thumbtack in their pulled it out and that shit comes out with some pressure like spraying a can of axe ×5

Why not replaying the flint 🤔 you can often disable the striker wheel part and put a new flint in, it's a little fiddly but possible.
