He is right up to the point that after you push the start button twice, you need to keep holding down the km/h - MPH button till the reset is finished. Good video. Thanks.

@nazarenkoy2680 for some reason on some of these cars you have to make sure your display screen is set to "energy monitoring" for it to work. It took me some time reading forums to figure this out. Seems like an extremely important detail to leave out.

It’s rare to find a youtube video where everything is laid out right away, directions are clear, and to the point without needless transitions or editing graphics. This video is PERFECT. Right to the point. Clear directions with great visuals. Quick. And above all else: correct. Thank you.

You're missing crucial detail that would save a lot of people serious headaches if included; Make sure that your display is set to the energy monitor screen... might not be required on all gen 3 prii but is required for mine. Found it on a forum after reading through accusations that the op wasn't following instructions... which they and i were.

Thank you for this clear short video. I just changed my oil and wanted to reset the maintenance required light. The previous video I looked at did not say to push the power button twice with the brake pedal off at the same time as holding the kilometers per hour to miles per hour button. Your stating that clearly helped. Thanks.

Because your model is probably different. Doesn't mean he's wrong. You probably had a split year with different options. It worked for me just fine and was where he said it was. So he was right initially. That's where most are on 2012 prius.

@vincentlenart16978 ай бұрын
@lisaball1701 thanks... i found the problem though. The screen has to be on the energy monitor screen for this to work. That's a crucial detail that's missing from this tutorial. I'm guessing most people just have that screen selected at all times? I already wrote a comment correcting this.
