how on earth does raising your action make this 'easier'? i find sweeping much for fluid with lower action , especially with finger rolls.

I recently did an overhaul on my main guitar which I spent years playing with relatively high action. It dawned on me that the amount of time that it took for high e the string to reach and then lift back up off the fretboard was the one thing that absolutely dictated how fast I could play. My bridge height is now 0.09 inches bass 0.06 inches treble, with a neck relief of 0.50mm on the bass side and 0.25mm on the treble side. I couldn't play faster if you put a gun to my head.
