Yes so reminiscent of our lives. We have done several houses up over the years (no Chateau though) and the conversations goes along the lines of 'Friday, Saturday nights do you remember those? Dancing, eating out. Lazy Sunday mid mornings eating yum-cha with friends'. All gone, even if you wanted to go out you are too knackered. Enjoy the ride, your house is so beautiful.

You should definitely hold a historical fundraiser/ball once the chateau is finished. People could come dressed in period costumes from the 18th-century or 19th. Red wine and watching the chair! "wouldn't it have been easier if there wasn't stripes?" Umm me drinking wine - yep, I think so! LOL The saga of "the good scissors" it started in my childhood with a dressmaker mother, I used them for paper and cardboard - it's universal - everyone starts out with great scissors and ends up with multi purpose blunt ones. "where is my wine"...I have mine! The struggle with the chair - it looks amazing. I am inspired. I have 6 dining chairs to tackle the seats with a staple gun and fabric. Good humour seems to be the necessary skill to tackle anything - you two have it! Done the years of parties, cafes, endless travel - I am laying gravel, painting, and soon covering chairs..life has never been so good! Love ya both x
