I purchased the hero 4 silver today the black comes with a few more features (not many more) but the silver comes with a LCD back as the black does not, the picture quality is amazing, I also have a hero 3 and the big differences between the 2 is fantastic I highly recommend the Hero 4 silver.

Iv seen the black, and even if it was the same price id still get the silver, the LCD makes all difference I don't think much of 4k, 1080 superview at 50fps should be enough what you want to use it for, go pro studio is a great editing program using protune, and if you want to make slomo clips the flux option is awesome, just takes a long time to render,

I have the GoPro hero 4 silver and it does indeed come with a water proof case! I haven't read up much but I know the one of the only differences between the black and the silver is that the black can shoot at a higher frame rate to the silver at 1080p. There's probably a lot more but I just stuck with the Silver :)

Within gopro studios, there is a button that says advanced settings, click it and you'll find a tick box for remove fisheye

The "Remove Fisheye" effect does reduce the fisheye look a little bit. But, for shots where you don't need the ultra wide field of view (FOV), set your camera to the Narrow FOV. This FOV gives the effect of a standard (around 28mm) lens. 1080p-60 Narrow is available on both the Silver and Black. Also, depending which camera (the Black or Silver) you are using, when recording at 4k or 2.7k resolutions, you can zoom in to reduce the fisheye effect and still output a full resolution 1080p video.

At 13:00, you talk about inserting white buckle to keep the camera in place, keep it from vibrating. My white buckle is way too wide to fit; you make it look easy! Why doesn't mine fit? It only fits Before I slide the stand into the curved mount. Do I even need that buckle? Should I stuff a rubber band, or something else, in place of the buckle? Thanks.

when you are filming with the gopro upside down after you transfer it to your computer will the footage still be upside down or will it flip to the right side up

i was here [unknown] If you set your camera to Auto Rotate (this is an option in the Setup Menu as long as you are running the latest firmware), the footage will record right side up even with your camera upside down. The orientation is determined when you begin recording. Otherwise, if you film with your camera upside down, your footage will play back upside down. You can flip it in Step 1 of GoPro Studio by selecting "Rotate/Flip".

Triangle Kickball The Hero4 Black is a great camera! The video settings are better than the Silver, especially the 4k and 2.7k resolutions. There is no viewfinder for a live view of what you are filming, but you can get an LCD Touch BacPac that is really helpful, especially if you are new to using a GoPro. Good luck and have fun with whatever decision you make.

+Karl Hamilton Scroll through the menus to the Setup Menu. In the Setup Menu, there is a Trash Can Icon. You can use that to erase/format the card. You can also erase files one by one using the App or (on the Silver) the Touch Screen.

Are you familiar with what's called a "Battery Eliminator" that fits where the original GoPro battery fits. With it's 10 ft USB cord you can plug into a SAE connector ( like what's seen on motorcycles) that goes directly into a 12 volt type battery for super long video life !!

Just got the Go Pro 4 Silver, and this video helped a tonne. My only confusion now is with the adhesive mounts. Once they are placed on an object (helmet, car dash etc), are they stuck there forever? Can they be used again elsewhere? I'm going to want to mount the camera on many objects and surfaces, not just in one place.
