Good info. A couple of tips, they do make risers that screw into the bottom on the sprinkler head to raise up. Also, if you are in a bind with the I-20 you can unscrew the top to “set” your fixed edge. Also, if ordering I found sprinkler warehouse to have the best prices. Finally, definitely get the sprinkler head collar which holds the head extended while switching out tips. It’s like 50 cents and a life saver.

Love the videos Doc, a lot of the products you recommend have my yard heading in the right direction. For perspective, how much acreage are you working? Trying to figure our what size of parcel is good to think about for similar projects.

I have 40 year old schedule 40 sprinkler pipes, some of the heads are not deep enough because roots have pushed the pipes up and I keep knocking the heads off , thanks for the advice.

This is great! Ive tried watching other videos on sprinkler heads and you have actually explained more then I have found. I never received a key for my heads so im guessing the landscaper took it if it did come with one. I have 1 zone (5 sprinkler heads) that takes about 5-20 mins (it appears to be random) before they finally pop up if they do pop up. the 2nd zone pops up every time with out issues. I only recently found this out late 2023 that this was happening which flooded my yard many times causing the garage to sink in one corner. Could this be due to bad heads?

Yes, bad head... or bad valve. We have had both.

It was just a 60:1 ratio for testing. Nothing new.

Hey Doc! Been watching your stuff for years and follow the lawn guide to a T! Sadly, so much that my wife and buddies call me Doc Jr! 😂 I was curious what all you did again for your deer fields/food plots and if you were going to do any videos on that? Know there’s been a few vids with little info here and there. Also in GA and hunting property is down in south GA by Americus. Looking to update some plots this year! Thanks for all ya do for us Doc!

Hi so today i nooticed that one of my sprinkler heads was not turning left and right is there a reason why? Its only a year old could it reallly be broken?
