Hozelock Flowmax Collect 2200 Review
This is a "special" water pump designed to work with a water butt. Is it any good? Is it worth the £56?
See this video to find out about the pressure of the Flowmax 2200, and how well it performs with a simple Hozelock sprinkler.
Mine went straight back to the shop, and I will guess that many of them have gone back since they are really not good for the intended purpose.

Looks as if this is a low pressure pump which makes it IDEAL not for a lawn sprinkler (which requires a high pressure/volume water source) but for a garden trickle feed watering system. Thanks for making the point. Hozelock also produce a Jet 3000 high(er) pressure water pump which will work far better with a lawn sprinkler system because its throughput is 50% higher than the Flowmax Collect 2200.

Hi, would I be able to insert this in an IBC tank via the top opening? seems that opening is almost same size as this pump and I am a bit worried that it won't?

I've only used it the one time but I also think that the ibc tank opening is smaller than the pump.

You never primed your water pump with out priming you will have very little pressure. And as for the 2200 it only has 12m head that at least is the length of your hose 😳

If you had a hose to a hand held spray nozzle and turned it off at that end, are you able to do that? Can I use a pump in conjunction with a pressure washer where intermittently I will not be using the water? Does the pump turn off when the ater is not coming out? I hope this makes sense.

I really can't say as it was that bad I sent it back the very next day.

Let the air out by holding pump in water without hosepipe for few mins😁

can you keep the pump in tub when not in use

I believe so, I can't see any reason why you'd have to take it out after you use it.

so you can use this with a sprinkler but can you use it with an ordinary hose nozel. does the pump stop atuomaticly if you turn off the nozzel or is it just designed to continuosly pump out water without stopping?

It won't stop at all. In my opinion, I would stay away from it really.

Think you should read the Instructions and prime it first my friend.

The water flow is only 2200lt/h... Higher the number, higher the pressure will be.
