Annie Lennox wowed the Grammy audience as she took to the stage to perform an incredible medley.
But the Eurythmics singer needed some convincing before she finally agreed to the show.
Annie joined Irish singer Hoizer on stage to duet with him on his song Take Me To Church before going on to stun the crowds with her version of Nina Simone´s Put A Spell On You.

It all gave me chills.. I'm an 80's girl.. Annie Lennox is an amazing artist and performer.. I had heard Hozier as a name, didn't know anything about him, as well as, I had heard this song & got to see a talented song writer & musician.. then Annie Lennox started & I about fell over backwards, my daughter was giggling until she realized how awesome this was. After I saw this performance I realized a younger generation of talent mixed with ol' skool was a perfect blend of creativity and mutual respect, not just anyone could've pulled this off.. I think it brought a gap together & inspired so many..I know it inspired me enough to just be comfortable & happy .. not just be alive, but to live in my darkest days. I love when artists step outside of the box & re-invent themselves . Seems as tho we were flooded with boy bands.. and Disney stars..I wish I could have been there. 😁✌🏾🙏🏽💜

It’s probably a different genre than you prefer(I really really dislike country music, but somehow this group is an exception), but you can see in this video both a jaw harp, and harmonica sound produced with their voices : ) They’re an a cappella group, so their percussionist kills it too. I loved the Eurythmics live performances because they changed up the arrangements and built songs to a climax showing off Annie's vocals. The recordings were great but live it was on another level. I used to think it was sad that only her fans watching her concerts could see this. I was so happy when I saw this because now the whole world could see this beautiful gem masterfully singing her soulful heart out. I loved her in the beginning and I love her now!!

I just saw and read this comment here that I wrote 6 yrs ago about KZbin only keeping a live vid WITH the PERFORMANCES from AWARD SHOWS (especially the Grammys) for a short time, then changing the clip to just the cel frame with the song, but since then I've come to realize they do it to ALL TV performances after a certain amount of time. I'm now thinking there must be some kind of FCC rules that KZbin has to abide by.

You can add bells and whistles, show some skin, have a full ensemble of background dancers, BUT still not have nearly as powerful of a performance that Hozier/Lennox had. Talent speaks for itself. I saw this when it aired, and to the day, this is the performance I remember from the Grammy's years since.
