I couldn’t figure out why I was immediately obsessed with this song, it definitely has to do with the similarities to the boxer and cool about it.. Thank you!!!!

i didn’t realize how similar this song sounded to cool about it until now!

KYLE IS BLOND HOZIER!!! I listened to the new album and was hoping to see if you would post about it! Unknown/nth is currently in my top tracks but really the whole album is no skips. Your channel is the best :D

would this be crazy to try for a beginner? i mean super beginner. however, i do have a determination with music occasionally that means i can sometimes learn pieces above my skill level. and i love hozier.

the biggest thing for me has always been how much I like the song. If you are committed to learning the song I know you can do it! It will be hard, but the best way to grow as a musician is by pushing your skill to the limit!

@@corbanhauch6514 thanks so much! i already play the flute so i'm familiar with learning an instrument, but it has been a while since i started from square one. it's hard to tell what's above my skill level and what's not at this point. i will try my best to make hozier proud

I hope your learning's going well :) I'd say this is relatively beginner friendly given the mostly repetitive fingerpicking pattern, and it's all using open chords which are used almost every song, similar to "Let Her Go" by Passenger! I'd say you should start off with memorising the open chord shapes and familiarising yourself with the finger positions, even strumming first to get a sense of how it should sound like, then embarking on the fingerpicking patterns :) Start playing at a really slow tempo, and the speed will come naturally as you continue practicing. All the best!!

@@gabeenis thanks so much!! i honestly haven't started this one yet because i've been so busy!! there are a few other songs i've been looking at too. i'll definitely keep all this in mind when i finally find the time :-)

This would be a lot more helpful total for beginners if you talked about the stings as 1-6

Hey Kyle! Great video, could you tell me what guitar you have? I recently inherited this one and I believe it’s from the 60s and might be a Yamaha Red label but everything is faded and worn off
