I heard this song the first time at a concert. My friend died the previous day. He had a surfing accident. He fell broke from the wave. Broke his neck and had a heart attack. He was pulled from the water, but died from his injuries. I cried during the concert I just thought of my friend of how he always floated above the sea and now he’s floating away from all of us.😢😢 I love you, Paul.

Last week, my father was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer with metastasis to the brain and other organs. My family and I are beyond devastated. I woke up in the middle of the night last Friday just… so broken. I remembered this album (which I’ve been so excited about) had released and I listened to it hoping it would bring my mind a little distraction. When I heard this song for the first time, I completely lost it thinking about my daddy. This song/ album has been my lifeline this week amidst this nightmare of heartbreak, stress, and unknowns. Thank you, Hozier. I hope one day to make music that does for others what yours has done for me 🖤
