I love the HP 15x360 and I'm typing on it right now. I have 2 complaints though. I can see the touch screen grid. It appears as thousands of small squares on the monitor and it's quite easy to see when the screen is white. I also see vertical grey lines that move when I turn the laptop either way. The sound however (through headphones) is the best I've ever heard. It's three dimensional theater audio that I can only get with an i7-4510u processor.

Exactly. A friend purchased this the other day and pixelation/squares is easily seen on the screen. I wonder if that's default with all Envy Series, if yes, then this is a huge drawback. Hard to bear such a screen. The screen was full hd but still its awful.

I'm a computer science student, and i would just like to see how good this laptop really is.!! It look's very nice and sleek but i would like to hear about the processing speed and battery life, and other features it might have like typing experience (for programming).

Wilbur: As for battery life, this particular model gets between 4 - 5 hours on a full charge. If you were to use the power save mode, you may get an extra hour or so. Since you are a computer science student, it may or may not have to processing power you need. Are there any specific programs you use on a daily basis?

I would love to get this, but the fact that when it is in tablet mode the keys are resting on whatever surface you put them on UNPROTECTED. Seems like that is asking for trouble...

The keys are not above the surface of the body; they are sunken to prevent mishap when used in display or tablet mode. That being said, the keys are protected when placed on a flat surface.

On my HP 360 touchscreen my "screen" has become small. I can't read the screen u less I physically touch the screen and make it larger. That only lasts for that screen; if I go to another screen it's small again. Can someone pls help me with this? Thanks!

OMG... it has a touchscreen. Did you see that touchscreen?! Let's make a 5 minute long video showing people this computer has a touchscreen. Did I mention the touchscreen already? This laptop has one. A touchscreen that is. You've probably never seen a touchscreen before, but this laptop has a touchscreen! Does the keyboard get disabled when then display is rotated past 180 degrees? Who cares - this has s a touchscreen! How stiff are the hinges when you're trying to set it up in an inverted V for display mode? Touchscreen = SCHWING ! What is the expected runtime watching full HD movies? Ivan: Average battery life for this particular model will be between 3 - 4 hours of moderate usage. Yes, you can play Minecraft on basic settings on this laptop.

As for battery life, this will depend on your own usage. I'm able to get about 5 hours on power save mode, 4 hours on balanced mode, and about 2 - 3 on high performance mode.

Hend: To place the laptop in tent mode you have to rotate the screen. And no, this laptop is not made for 3D movies.

There us an option box in the screen management to auto-rotate. I asked the same question today to one of the Bestbuy salesmen who didn't know the answer. Also it will not auto-rotate if you extend the screen to another monitor.

Yes, games can be played on this model. If you are referring to more demanding games, then no this option will not suit your needs.

+HP ENVY x360 I'm quite happy owner of this laptop, but unfortunately can't find out how to enable keyboard backlit. According to all manuals, it shoud work by pressing a key with special icon - f5. But id does nothing :( The system is pre-installed Windows 8.1

I have the HP Envy 360 with i7 core. It has the light-up keyboard. Unfortunately, the Intel AC7260 wifi adapter is a piece of crap. The thing disconnects CONSTANTLY and I'm out of the return window. Do not buy this piece of junk.

Wondering if I should go on Amazon and get a wifi adapter that I can plug into one of the USB ports as a workaround to the problem of the crappy built-in wifi adapter.

David C You can but... try if there aren't any BIOS or OS settings that put these built-in adapters into sleep or try adjusting the power scheme to make sure that this adapter is not preserving any power. These day with all those hibernation, stand-by stuff WIFI adapters can act strange. Second... try finding alternative drivers. Eg.: Not the one from HP but from the vendor itself.

I ended up buying a USB wifi adapter. It works great, but I don't like how it sticks out too far. It was the quickest, simplest fix, though. Now that I know that any brand will work, I'm gonna return the adapter and buy a different, smaller one, on Amazon. There's one that's practically flush with the laptop. It's way cheaper than the big one I bought, too.

Seems a good idea... those bigger onces have the tendency to linger somewhere and then break off damaging the USB ports.
