TBT, I love that you've covered so many of Lovecraft's stories as he's my favourite author. your reading of his stories has been outstanding, TY :) As a side note, I know it received many positive reviews but I didn't care for the film adaptation of this story tbh.

Ah The Color! Definitely one of his best. The slow build up, the unfathomable alien encounter, and of course the buried and yet lurking doom in the Arkham sweet-water reserve! Perfect really! Although I genuinely think his monsters in general and The Color in particular are unvisionaliceable I saw a low budget film version from eastern Europe filmed in black and white and only The Color in vivid color which I think is a proper way to tackle it. I also think the the movie "Annihilation" is a good approach to the theme and mood if not the actual story. ( I haven't read the book) I alas, prefer your version.;-) Sweet dreams
