I have an old HP6830, watched your video, bought the cleaning kit from Amazon Prime, cleaned the printhead as directed, and it worked! Only suggestion I might add is to replace the folded paper towel you place under the printhead carriage each time you inject the solution. I had a very messy cleanup job upon completion of the process because i didn't change the paper towels as frequently as possible. Also disposable plastic gloves might come in handy too to prevent soiling your hands from the old ink and cleaning solution during final cleanup. Great Product!!!

yes I agree swapping out the paper towel is a very good idea at the time I film this video. I had not gotten that down, but it is now standard practice.

I have a HP 8710 I hadn't used it for some time. so I got new cartridges and installed them. It printed black not too bad some of the letters were only half printed. Then I tried to print color and at first, it was streaking on the report . I called Best Buy Geek Squad as I am senior and not very good with tech stuff. They tried to clean the head 3 times. It did get better but it prints mainly green so cant you help me please I can't afford a new printer and my hobby is scrapbooking so I print a lot of digitals and need the color I have another printer 5640 which I have been using and it works great but the other one would be quicker for me to print multiple

Hi, you will need to use the kit in this video. Try getting someone, maybe a friend to help you with the instructions. The cleaning Geek Squad did is not enough.

My HP 6978 printer is getting a 0xc19a0035 printhead error. I tried to clean the print head both while the printhead was in and out of the printer, but still no luck. Any ideas where I may go from here? Thanks

on't know if that printer has the option but if you opt in to the HP+ you cannot use remanufactured cartridges the printer will check with HP and make sure they are genuine HP cartridges

I refilled my black ink cartrage in my printer and i tried cleaning it with a damp paper towel and after a few pages, it goes back to printing with horizontal lines. Would this fix the issue?

After three attempts - with heated solution - the Cyan port will not accept the solution. What more can I do? Thanks

Keep at it, try higher temps. but be careful you dont inhale the fumes if any.

Even after continued attempts with heated solution & even leaving the solution hooked up over night, the Cyan port never cleared. Can anything else be done or should I return the kit?
