Its a good laptop for light video editing. You are better off with the ryzen 7 4800 for video editing because it has 8 cores, it's cheaper and uses 25% less energy consumption + less heat. The i7 10750h is better for gaming, but is decent for light video editing. 8gb ram= light video editing 16 gb ram= is recommended for editing 32 gb ram is for heavy Professional video editing Lastly: you need a good screen

@@N3mdraz yap..that's right.....in my country this model with ryzen 7 4800H is very difficult to get...and it takes 1 month to arrive if u purchase.....but iam pretty okay with this intel because there is thunderbolt port which is with AMD ryzen 7 doesnt have it on this laptop.. This tunderbolt port will help much if i need to use more powerfull external vga someday.. But first, maybe i want to upgrade my RAM to 32gb (2x16) for 3D modelling because i usually have complex polygon object n scenes. My engine render is Enscape n Vray,...and they both use GPU for rendering (in vray, we can choose use GPU or CPU) so i dont worry much about the rendering. About heat issue, ..i usually use cooling pad and set the max fan on performance control.....and it helps much.... Last, i bought n choose this laptop based on my needs,...hehe...but i will be more Glad if i have AMD ryzen 7 or 9 with Thunderbolt port....lol.....

Should of done your research. The rtx 2080 super is the desktop part (full fat version) Why would they stick a max q design 2080 super in a thick chassis like this? The 2080 super in these are 150watts or 200watts. Not the max q 80 - 100watts

I personally would get an omen 15 with 32gb 1tb 4k oled resolution. i personally would set it to comfort or default mode to keep it as cool as possible. 300hz is a battery hog except for 4k resolution.

You don't need 300hz in my opinion (when 99% of the newer games don't even achieve over 80-100fps on High/Ultra 4k settings). So your keep setting your screen settings ingame to 60-120hz to keep the games smooth. But ofcourse it is personal preference.

@@jamieldn getting around 120 fps on warzone raising to 150 at times . Cold war is steady above 140 . Have only been doing a few test streams so far while getting my channel ready but reports are the stream looks fantastic , very good quality. That's the laptop running obs and streaming warzone and running a benQ monitor. So definitely no problems there.. however I did have to buy a cooling pad. Was getting very hot at times and done the omen undervolting. Now it's running at max 85c on heavy gaming.

hello mr gizmo i have a problem and i hope that u can fix it for me my pc is lenovo and when i open a game the sound rattles and the fps become so low and while im opening the game the sound stays like that and the lag too but when i close the game the problem get fixed but now i cant play any game without lag and sound fixed ah yeah i forgot to tell u something when i open task manager i find proccessor memory network and disk have normale pers% but when i go to performance in the task manager when i open the game nvidia geforce works 100per and i think thats the problem

If I had that much, I'd probably get a Razer Blade Pro 17 with RTX 2070--but there are lots of other great options out there too. M17 R3. Asus Strix. MSI GS66. Take a look around and see if anything spikes your interest.

@@mps28 I think it depends on the material you're gonna work with. I read somewhere that HP's Omen takes around 12 minutes to render a 4K video. Once you have yourself a reliable CPU, you need 16+ GBs of RAM to handle everything else.

Go with this model as the build quality is superior then the new Omen 15 which is heavily criticized for the design flaw aka flexgate. Anyway make sure to choose 144hz cuz of brightness around 330nits vs this 300hz around 280nits. And 300hz will suck up your battery.
