hi, by mistake i have removed the metal tape on the left of the screen back which is glued to the metal area. after that screen is not working, can it be fixed or it is gone

Hi sir have a query.. in case of Old laptop 12 year old.. if the brightness is not upto the mark do i need to change the screen or is there any alternative for better brightness( tried maximise brightness but still very low brightness). Waiting for your prompt response
