LCD Screen Replacement on a HP Pavilion g6 Laptop

I watched your video just to see how to get the cover around the screen off (I wasn't sure if it was screwed on or if it just snapped off and didn't want to break it). But you ended up saving me some money! I also had an old laptop laying around and decided to check the screen to see if it matched and it did! I never thought about using it. Thanks!

No. I would check your setting to make sure there nothing is wrong there 1st. If you do need a webcam then you will have to pull down the screen. To get to the wrng for the webcam. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you very much... mine is wider because it has numbers in right side after enter button. And when i open the plastic cover, there are 4 more screws, each 2 screws on the right and left of the metal support. for 5 years i am using tv as my screen. Some kids jump on my laptop and it broke the left side hinge. Since that, my screen colour become weird. If i adjust the opening angle of hinge it back to normal. After some month it give up. I don't know should i replace the cable or the screen?

Great video! need a bit of advice, have the same laptop and basically put pressure on the screen by accident and now the screen colour is all disorted. The screen is cracked inside and the liquid crystals are leaking causing the whole screen to be messed up, you cant make out anything, but the laptop still works. Would replacing the screen fix this? thanks

Well if its like the one in the Vid. Yes whole screen needs replaced. But there are ones you can just replace the backlight.

Hello, Maybe you can help I appreciate you reading this. I have the same exact laptop and I Get a thin green line green line clear across the screen 3/4 up from the bottom sometimes. If I move the lid around it goes away. Is something loose inside? Thank you :)

Hey buddy,maybe you know why after i did the replacement and turn on my laptop the screen dont show nothing, its changing of color.. white,red,green,purple,blue and that never stops,like calibrating image but never stops

When you get the screen in the mail, you should use that and replace your current one. They won't know you replaced it.

I got a deep scratch in the middle of the screen i am very puzzled that how to remove that scratch do u have any idea how to remove it or i have to replace the Entire LED

please help!! i got a new scrren same as the one in my llaptop same numbers annd everythigng i put the screen in and put the wire in and i put it together. when i turned it on the screen is just plain white i can here it logging on and everything. but its just plaint white it blinks sometimes but wonnt show any thing please help!!
