I'm actually deploying 3 of these that have never been out of the box before. It was purchased brand new and the company changed its direction. I needed a few servers that would last at least a year and these were available and met the specs. These have roughly 2 years left on its Road Map and still support Server 2012. And yes I ended up racking both servers on the top shelf by myself. I do not recommend that. =) Nice video.

Scott Downey A lot! When my Dad's motor shop closed for business. They had a lot of car parts left in storage that isn't even listed in inventory. Simply because my Dad and his partner used paper instead of using computers to track inventory. They had to rely on 1 guy in charge of the stock room to know where everything is. So when that old storage room guy left, the new guy will have to order new parts to restock, if he couldn't find the part he needs.

Yes,, HP is not helpful with driver outside of services. But that sayed,, you will get better performances on your renders in 3D-MAX, by installing VMware ESXi, and making a number of 4 core virtual render servers on top of that. I have made videos on that.

Those shutters behind the fans look like they are some kind of one way valve. If a fan fails, it also doesn't build up air pressure anymore. Obviously that means, that the fans next to the failed one would release the pressure they build up through the now standing one and basically blow the air in the equivalent to a short circuit. Those shutters would just block any backwards airflow. Nice safety measure, methinks. ^^)

All searching for this error returns HP official documentation to have the system board replaced, however, replacing the original CPUs boots the system fine. I can't boot into the bios or boot anything due to this error with teh new cpus, and I ran the 2017 and 2018 SPPs against the systems to verify im up to date on my firmware. Any thoughts?

apard7 I forgot the most important fact, they are AMD Opteron based. They not bad, and don't consume that much more power, in some Workloads they are also quiet faster than the WESTMERE EX based DL580. As how I understand it, they are so freaking cheap, because big Enterprises like Salt, Swisscom etc. used them, instead of the DL580, and now there are a lot of them on the market.
