Alan S Don't think it becomes the Mac one. It's strange that no manufacturer can make it like Apple's all these years but overall it's alright. It's gorgeous and smooth and functional, not as fast as Mac's. But certainly there will be a workaround for it.

Thanks for posting a great review, one thing to note and I'm not being critical. The speakers are not made by B&O it's just the sound panel that is designed by B&O, but I do agree with you that for such a slim Ultrabook it does have good sound.

thanks i had the machine for a while and learned new things especially with the pen , i wonder what you say but about to travel to India for few month and because its to precious i got actually a surface pro 4 to be able to use just tab if i want to for lightness , also it was 1/4 of the price as my HP is the top end , so i dont have to worried to much well easier to carry with me just the note bit without the keyboard , hopefully they will bring this to this machine as well , but the HP so solid i had someone sit on it mistakenly and stood as well , no problem at all , its like a rock

I have this laptop and pen, and my pen does not write or click on anything. When I put the pen close to the screen it has the little pen curser that follows the tip, but it does not write or do anything. I just put in a new battery. Anyone have any idea what I can do to fix it?

I had a surface Pro 1 before and the thing for me is the second button was used for spacebar (for sketchbook to move layers) then other button was right click hold (allowed me to highlight stuff in one note). Is there a way to do this with the pen on the spectre?

Spectre X360 13t with an OLED 2560x1440 display and the Iris graphics. A tab bit heavier than your new one and no USB C but.... that display...

Hey thanks for watching! I don't have something I can measure the actual temperature with. My spectre generally feels cool, even with a charge cable in and apps running. The only time I felt it warm was when I was using it on my bed with the charge cable plugged in. The heat from the charging battery increased and the mattress underneath didn't allow heat to dissipate. But if I use it on my bed without the charge cable plugged in, it stays cool.

@9:36 You can see a problem that has come up with the spectre. Notice how after he uses the pen then he tries to move the ruler; there is a constant delay between using the pen and actually using your finger to move an item on screen or to just scroll down. I heard they made a fix during April, but seeing this video I don't think it worked. Where I heard about this problem is from a youtuber by the name of Harry Wang. He does a full video about this.

When watching videos on youtube, netflix, and working in office suite, the fan never comes on. It's really a silent computer. The only time the fan comes on for me is when a windows update is running, or I'm encoding a video in Adobe Premiere Pro, or running a benchmark test - that's about it!

I think a 3:2 screen would be better and more productive, which the Microsoft machine has. Those are far to expansive for what they give though. I am a photographer so I rather need a screen that isn't different to what the actual photo's are. It just will look rather odd and editing will get disturbed as well. I need to work with programs like Lightroom, so that the eraser does not work with programs such as that is not a problem really. I see that this laptop has potential to be the replacement of my current 2010 Acer laptop. Thanks for the video!

Very good review! I have been watching reviews for this product for at least a month and did not find one as simple yet thorough. I am planning to transition to this HP Spectre from my 2013 MacBook Air. I love my MacBook and I am curious to know what your experience was, switching to this Windows device. My biggest concern is the integration of software and hardware. I mean as a Mac user, the OS and the hardware has seamless integration - works every time all the time. My Mac is as good as new. In your experience, do you experience lags etc. with this product?

I know what you're talking about regarding the software and hardware thing with Macs, and with this Spectre, it has been the equivalent experience so far. Zero lag and everything just works. I loved my old mac air because of that experience, and I made sure this HP delivered on that for me as well before deciding to keep it.

+Jonyba Brusch I don't think the 4K option is a stand alone option. You'll get an i7 processor and 16gb of RAM, compared to my i5 and only 8gb of RAM. Great review. thanks. I've seen some ppl complain about the right hand touching the track pad while typing because the last column {page up, page down etc} of keys pushes the center of the keyboard further left.. had any issues with that?

+lansunrise The right hand does touch the trackpad when I'm typing away on the keyboard, but I'm not experiencing any issues with it. The palm rejection works well. I just tested it now by trying to move the pointer with my right palm as I lay my fingers over the keyboard in natural typing position, and it doesn't move it

I personally use Adobe Premiere Pro, and the experience is fantastic. However, I haven't tried other editing software yet. With an i5 processor, encoding short videos on this is great. But if you're someone who plans on making really long and/or 4k videos, I suggest buying a computer with an i7 quad-core for the processing power.

Hi Jagdeep! If what’s most important is handwriting notes, I would suggest the iPad Pro because Apple’s stylus is really good and hard to beat. The feel of it when you write on the iPad feels like an actual pencil. The HP spectre’s stylus is good but not as good. Hope that helps!

do you have the battery discharge issues found in some x360 Spectre's while the laptop is off? Also, I saw that you have a lag after using the pen and the touchsreen is not reacting to your fingers for 2-3 seconds - it that normal and can it be configured to be faster?

+Andrey Zhekov I've tested for battery drain issue on my first week with it, and didn't have any problems! I think in the video I didn't put enough pressure with my fingers to move around the ruler, that's why it looked like there was lag. But I tested it again, and it's very reactive and smooth.

+Chris Lianos hey Chris, I haven't had any issues with it at all and I use it almost every day. It's been a few months now that I've owned it, and it functions the same as it did out of the box new. Also, some people were talking about the battery draining issue. I haven't experienced it.. I can tell you with my recent experience that when I travelled for a week and 2 days, and left my laptop in standby mode in my bag (used it once to read something for 30 mins), the battery went from 100% charge to 95% by the time I got home. I really like my spectre, and I still do today. It's snappy, lag-less, and watching videos/movies on the display is where the laptop shines for me.
