Morning All! Those who are following me on Facebook will know that the project is actually complete. I've just been a bit slow in getting the videos up! Hope you're all having a great weekend. Post your comments down below what you think of the Firestorm!

Some US offers on ebay for "HPI E-Firestorm 10t" should work as well, cut out is no big deal. Also one US nitro "HPI Firestorm DSX-1". Another nitro from Belgium "DSX-1 Truck Body clear HPI 7123" . The part number for DSX-1 is 7123, for DSX2 its 17001. I think they should match, maybe the one from Jumpshot will also fit, looks similar. 116529, 116530 or 120130. Good luck!

Look forward to your rebuild on this, HPI parts are starting to trickle through now & as you have found W/spin models is 1st class for HPI parts. Discovered you can easily just replace the one way bearing out of hex nut for £4 from a seller on flebay by removing worn one & tapping in replacement! Wished I had your luck finding these flebay bargains, another good find! 👍🏻

Great video, looking forward to the rest of the series. It’s a shame to hear about HPI’s demise really, I had a MT2 several years ago and it went like a rocket but never really got on with nitro. I’ve recently got an interest back in the hobby and fancy picking a HPI up again but it seems the parts support is pretty limited now which is a shame, still tempted to get a firestorm or mt2 again though so looking forward to seeing your videos of it running 👍

Ok like your vids mate .... I’m new to nitro 50 year old child .. purchased a very cheap spirit 1.10 buggy from China Have enjoyed keeping it running after crashing numerous times replacing bits here and there .. Larger wheels ect making super fast ... My question ... I’ve adjusted setting high and low speed settings many times... atm From cold tiny little trim on throttle start fast idles .. great off I go .. ( now to be honest we do thrash the cars speed wise ) And suspect the engine is running too hot ... there’s a sensible amount of smoke and engine hugely responsive .. when I bring the car back it generally would struggle to idle and stall .... restarting if difficult at this point .. where as I need the trim say half throttle for it to start ... if I allow to cool sensibly ii would restart with just a little trim .. fast idle fine ... Am I just running the car hard and getting to hot ... or are my running setting still out ?? Cheers in advance ...

Unfortunately those are classic symptoms of an engine that is suffering from low compression... It would mean a new piston and sleeve to solve

Hello! I'm having an issue with fuel squirting between the block and the head. Have you had this issue before? If so how do you recommend fixing it?
@TheRCBiker3 жыл бұрын
Are the cylinder head bolts tight?
@Agemenon3 жыл бұрын
Yes everything is tight, no cracks in the head and block. Glow plug is tight, exhaust manifold is tight, head is tight and still squirts out.

Hi RC biker I’ve been given 2 HPI mt2s I was thinking about turning one into a rally or drift car rather than a truggy do you think it’s worth it and roughly what will I need to change
@TheRCBiker4 жыл бұрын
Hi Will, As a project yes it's worth it! Wheels, maybe suspension components, different body shell? The only thing is because it's 2WD it might be rather hard to control on less grippy drift tyres
@willfrance76264 жыл бұрын
TheRCBiker the cars 4wd so shouldn’t be a problem

Hi RcBiker i have a simple question maybe you can help me. Is it normal that my gear shift system eats its own gears after 2 runs?? I drive nitro rc cars the gear on engine is metal and the gear on gearshift system is plastic. The plastic gear wasted ultra fast. I dont understand why???
@TheRCBiker4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bruce, it's probably the gear mesh set either too loose or too tight. Plastic gears should last if the mesh is set correctly. Having said that, metal gear upgrades are available for most cars :)
@brucechillz92244 жыл бұрын
@@TheRCBiker the trick with the piece of paper between gears yeah i know that thanks. But i tought if i buy a brand new car everything is set fine but now i know that sometimes its not. So should i switch to metal gears. My Virus 4.0 V32 with metal gear runs fine its just my two other cars that makes me problems and the brand new i am talking about is my Mad Crusher first run he crush his gear in the run in phase. Love your Channel. Thx Bruce.
@TheRCBiker4 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily, I'd always check the mesh even on a new car. Metal upgrade is a good way to go though :)

Just got this one for £40. What the difference between the 10t3.0 and the 10t?
@TheRCBiker4 жыл бұрын
The 10T 3.0 is the later model, like the one in this video. I don't think there is much difference between them apart from slight difference in the body shell
@pcrashford53674 жыл бұрын
TheRCBiker would you say there both roughly worth the same
@TheRCBiker4 жыл бұрын
In theory the later model would be worth more as it's newer, but it doesn't always work like that! I think the one in the best condition is the best one to go for :)
