i built the revell 1:677 kit back when it was first released. its still around and in good condition. recently, i located a vintage one and got it for a great price. this one will be getting led and fiber optics, the way i always wanted to do the original

Looks a lot nicer than that 18" Revell kit from 25 years ago. I used to always think I would break the nacelles every time I'd put them into warp configuration. Thanks for the kit review!

The decals from Polar Lights are pretty nice. I recently finished the 1/350 K'Tinga and the Klingon emblem on the belly looked scarier than it really was. It laid down better than 90% of the decals I've used.

My biggest gripe is that parts 5 and 6 shown in step 2 of the instruction sheet do not match the actual parts as neither have the step on the front section of both parts.

@@hpiguy Wasn't saying you were wrong. Just that they made new parts for it. I had fun building the original release in '96 (It was my Christmas/New Year '96 gift from my grandma). But I wasn't good with the decals and after moving it twice, it was sadly just good for the recycle bin.

builded the revell kit hand painted the lifeboats i wish revell would have printed decals would have saved my hair from going grey because of the masking.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Not really, tiny compared to the old revell kit but not tiny overall like some of the other 1000 scale kits are. Its only slightly smaller than the 1400 scale Enterprise-E and looks really good if they are side by side
