It's such a simple song...just basic chord turnarounds throughout. But every chord is PERFECT and interesting and serves the song and lyrics. It's an uplifting life-affirming yet bittersweet song. Yeah...it's perfect. One of those rare songs I'd kill to have written myself...

I made out with Darcy outside a club attached to the Selby Hotel in 1996. I was 24 years old, a good-looking fit young fellah and brimming with confidence. She was into me, and I had no idea who she was until she told me. She told me a phone number but I forgot it almost right away. We didn't have cell-phones then so there was none of that. What a blast! Life is hilarious.
