@nahuelma97 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, she had that until the late 90s. After that, she kinda lost touch with her voice's limits, which is sad, because she still had a very good voice in the early 2000s if she used it correctly. She just never updated her limits in her mind lol so she tried to do things that just weren't in hear reach anymore and when that failed she didn't know how to recover in the moment, so it was awkward. A very, very good exception to that is a performance of I Will Always Love You from 2004 in Bangkok. You can look it up on KZbin, it's here. The key was lower, she took it slower as well, and it's a very sweet and emotional performance. I love it

This is one of her underrated performances. Very soulfull. Most of her studio recordings don't have as much soul as her live performances (I don't mean IWALY in this case). But Whitney's real brilliance can better be heard live than on her albums without any doubt (and the only official live album is subpar).

Thank goodness someone had the forethought to record this special performance by Whitney singing her top hit.This appearance is the same time frame as Waiting to Exhale and her voice is tremendous here! As for difficulties with DC appearances in 1997, she separated from Bobby that year. She later said it was due to his cheating and drugs became her escape from Bobby. But Whitney came back strong in Preacher's Wife and then Cinderella, Prince of Egypt, and a hit album the next year. So loved her!

It's so hard to watch her videos, and Whitney was always my most beloved and favorite vocalist. I grew up with her starting from the 80s. I was there with her almost from her humble beginnings. I'm a huge Whitney fan, but I realized that between 1994 and 1995 has changed too, his voice lowered, the appearance was tired, and she decides to stop recording, only toured, and was already clear that she was in decline! And in 1998 came the CD and was already another Whitney, in my opinion a lot of stress, fights, loneliness and of course Bobby Brown!

@TheJoaohenri6 жыл бұрын
@JoseCarlos-cm4xi6 жыл бұрын

I love how Whitney turned a sweat mop into a stage prop, and no one thought she might be on some hyperhidrosis inducing substance until years later. All you oriole blaming Bobby need to use your heeds. Even if you didn't know what was really going on, anyone should be able to figure out who was wearing the pants and had the money (then eventually credit) to sustain that life. He was wild and drank, but he really was doing what he could to get things on track for them. He was always working on projects and trying to get her out of the room smoking. She was the boss. She and her wicked family (she and her mom are sweet, the rest are criminals) owe Bobby a lot for all the scapegoating they've promoted.
