Just placed an order through ur links for the f3 split, and for the Uv filter! Thank your videos! Love them. This will be my second drone after my Whoop! So excited!

this drone is great, the props are really great thanks!! I have been crashing it a few times; small branches and wires and it survived it with no scratches! But I'm tired of hitting those tiny invisible obstacles, my area is full of them so I'm ditching my analog setup for O3 ... you sold me on that. I'm getting the Quadmula brackets like you did :)

I am notoriously hard to sell things too. Especially the new hotness. I also have been a hardcore analogue pilot for the past 8 years. I only just stumbled onto your channel about a year ago. But this SF3 series you have been doing SOLD me. I got the entire build the same way you did it, CLI dump and all. Cheers brother. Keep ripping. Check back for content with the new rig in a week.

You could crop in the frame a bit if you want to remove the top plate. This is unstabilized footage on the highest FOV the DJI O3 system can do.

What about the gemfan 3020. I tested both, and liked the gemfan more. HQ gave me some oszilations, where the gemfan were fine. Any comparion test?

I haven't tested them yet but the performance is incredible with the HQProps and I'm still going on the same set. No weird oscillations. I'll have to give the 3020s from Gemfan a try.

You should be fine. I always recommend you do your first arm in a safe location and be ready to disarm if something isn't right. If you're hearing strange motor noises or your motors are hot when you land then try lowering the Master Multiplier slider a bit.

@MurdersFPV Жыл бұрын
I'm a pretty firm believer in the 1604+ size for 3". I would run 1404 motors on a 2.5". If you can hold off for a little later this month then I think you'll have a great option for your 1404 motors.

Isn’t the trade with more durability with the impact on the actual motor. “Weaker” props act as the crush zone similar to a car but for the motor where the prop takes the impact
@MurdersFPV Жыл бұрын
Hmm, I don't think these props are durable enough to instead damage the motor. I think it's more that they can take an impact and maintain their shape better or at least not break or chip.

That's an awesome build. Very snappy and well tuned. The fact that your a great pilot makes it look really good too lol. I was wondering if there was a video setting that would show less props in view using the DJI 03 air module and the quadmula frame you are using?
@MurdersFPV Жыл бұрын
You could use Wide FOV which is still plenty of field of view instead of the Ultra FOV. Wide is much closer to the FOV of a GoPro Session 5.

Hi, can I get some recommendations from your? I will choose your Quadmula SF3 build for my fist drone build ever (: So my first question would be when I dont aim for the taget to stay below 250g wich batterys would you recomend beside your choice of the GMB 380? (so i get a little more flight time) Next question would be here in Germany there are only HQProbs in the dimensions of T3x15x3 or T3x2,5x3 in stock so wich one would you choose? Last question what do you think of using walksnail insted of 03? And thanks for the great content i enjoy it alot, happy flying 🤘
@MurdersFPV Жыл бұрын
If you want to use Walksnail I'd say definitely go for it. GNB makes a HV light weight 660mah pack that would be great for more flight time. pyrodrone.com/collections/batteries/products/gaoneng-gnb-6s-660mah-90c-hv-li-po-battery-xt30 I would probably recommend the 3x1.5x3 but honestly get a set of both and test which you like better. The 3x2.5x3 will definitely be a lot more aggressive.

Looking to build one! Do you think a 35a ESC on a similar 6s build is enough?
@MurdersFPV Жыл бұрын
Nope. I struggle to keep 45A ESCs going on 6s at 2000+ KV.
@herokme0 Жыл бұрын
what’s your thoughts on this quad running the 6s 380mah vs a “traditional” 4s setup? and have you tried 2004 3000kv for 6s, or do you like your pacer 1604 setup?
@MurdersFPV Жыл бұрын
I'm not a fan of 4s setups even on my 2.5". I only fly the 380mah packs on this build and I think it's great. I prefer the light weight and flight performance over the longer flight times. I think 1604 is as low as I would go for 3". I would go bigger on motors before going smaller.
@herokme0 Жыл бұрын
@@MurdersFPV makes sense, i’ve only ever flown 6s (besides 1s whoops) so i feel like i’d like 6s on a 3”. do you feel a 35a esc would work on your motor + 6s setup? or would i need a 45a esc?
I love my sf3! But only getting about 2.5 min on the same gnb 380 also identical specs to your build, maybe it's the freezing weather up here in canadia.

Looking forward to trying them, but I am looking the Dal Cyclone T3028, a bit pitchy but still smooth and very durable.
@MurdersFPV Жыл бұрын
I tried those when I first built the SF3. They were okay but I was able to get a better tune out of the Gemfans. The quad is more responsive and has better prop wash handling. At least for the way I've built it.
@miguelvice Жыл бұрын
@@MurdersFPV Yea, a lot smoother with the Gemfans but for heavier 3" rigs I like a bit more pitch in the prop, these HQ might be the way to go, I also belive Gemfan has a new prop put with a bit more pitch might need to see if it is durable or not.

my fave props for 3" are HQ V1S and GF Flash. There's no real high pitch offerings in t-mount outside of multi-blade cinwhoop props.

@@MurdersFPV thanks for the response. I just watched a vid of a guy running them on an Apex 3”. I see no reason why it’s not worth a shot. I ended up cutting the cf prop guards off my Cine25 frame after they shattered on the first pack, flipped the motors right side up, and bottom mounted the lipo and it’s hella fun to fly. Depends on the props. For me the f1404 4600kv work better with lower pitch props. For the p1604 3800kv on 4s i use the hq t3x2.5x3 or t3x3x3 otherwise it feels underpowered compared to the 1404

@@Maxim_Nub Because of the higher kv they have more power, but the bigger ones have more torque and can drive bigger or higher pitch props. I would say the 1404 is better overall: more efficient and lighter. But the 1604 might be more durable in crashes.

For 3.5“ props Recursion Labs did a test with the 3.5x2.5x3 props. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYawqoKIitp4nsU They are more efficient, have higher thrust and are quieter than the lower pitch props. Maybe that applies for the 3“ props too! Might be worth a try!
