Challenge with HR is that, they are hired as management tool and play in the hands of management or else shown the door! Till the time HR has certain IMMUNITY as certain constitutional positions have, they will remain useless in activism called ''Employee Intimacy'' and Employee Championing''! Great thoughts Tom. Like your term EI, which has great meaning and intent built, but would work in a E2E, expert to expert environment and not in a top down hierarchical, owner-employee arrangement! I am hopeful, employees will listen to and act for facts that cry for attention rather than manipulating power and control game, organisations resort to manage employees through Managers, like herds and dispensable commodity!
