@jgonzalesm66 жыл бұрын
True, they are titanium (what % ??) so that makes the wheel anti-corrosive. All those nooks and cranny's look very difficult to clean as CCB dust builds and builds the rim looses it's cleanliness if your into that. HRE definitely pushing the envelope in wheel design. My fav HRE wheels are the P101's. Stylish, functional and very easy to clean the exterior & interior part of the rim. I have 2 cars one of which is a reproduction of the P101's (similar hyper silver finish) and the other car has 2009 AMG 5 star(silver sheen finish on the spokes). Both types of rims get cleaned on the outside and inside when driven...it makes the rim "pop" IMO. 10min each car to clean the rims.

@aleksandersuur94756 жыл бұрын
The good, the bad and the ugly of 3D printing is really flat economies of scale. One unit or million units, the manufacturing cost per unit is pretty much the same. In contrast casting, forging, stamping, injection molding etc have high setup costs, but really low running costs. More you make, cheaper it gets, by orders of magnitude. Doesn't really work that way with 3D printing, if it's expensive the first time it's going to be expensive forever.

@Smexy_af6 жыл бұрын
Liked and subscribed. Congratulations to both of you for pulling off such a challenging task and so stunningly at that. Now that you can be much more accurate with the amount of material used, would it be possible for this wheel to have a lower mass and have a lower rotational inertia than that of a CF wheel?
@mathewbsaenz4 жыл бұрын
I think a directional spoke wheel where every pair of spokes intertwined with one another, would like pretty cool. And then maybe add like a circular trim ring through the center, like how some rally wheels have that thin inner ring joining all the spokes.

Kumit Yadav probably something very powerful such as solidworks. I know from what I’ve seen there is different levels of it ranging from $3k to $12k USD. It’s some of the best software out though. It allows you to build a model and animates it if it has any mechanical operation. It shows you failure points and such.
