How to lift the 2017-2025 Honda Ridgeline 1.5 inches with the HRG Offroad kit!

Watched the whole video for an actual side view of truck after the lift install and only got a partial side one from a front angle. Why not show a full ‘side’ view? Maybe I’m different from most people but I like to see how the actual result looks.

WARRANTY WAS IMPACTED. Long story short, I put a lift on my 2017 Ridgeline after cracking my oil pan offroad.. Had a 120K 8 year Honda Care extended warranty on my Ridgeline. Twice, I had drive train issues that Honda refused to cover completely because of the lift kit. It developed a shudder during any acceleration (not "judder") about 6 months ago. Honda said it was because of lift and oversize tires (increased torque). Got rid of the 2017 and bought a 2024 Ridgeline Trailsport. Trailsport has some lower engine shielding but same vehicle height. Would not do the lift again. Will just live with the fact that you have to be very careful when driving off of pavement. I loved the lift but it did affect the ride (it may have been a different designed lift) and clearly impacted my drive train (torn axle boot at 50k and shutter).

I just put on a leveling kit on my 2024 ridgeline and yes some of the work you need two people for sure, LOL I sat on the bar to get the lower ball joint in. never again!! one thing to mention is the vehicle needs a all wheel alignment for sure. Great video.Cheers

Is the Honda warranty impacted by this kit? Ground clearance is literally the only source of buyer's remorse that I have with my 2023 RTL-E. She tows fine. Drives great. The AWD system is far more sure footed on road than the Tacoma. This said, I tense up every time I am on a trail with rock and ruts.

Aligning your vehicle after working on the suspension goes without saying. Failure to do so will result in increased tire wear, decreased fuel economy, and unpredictable handling.

you will get exactly the amount of the lift. 1.5”. Maxing out tire size over stock will give you another 0.5” so for this vehicle Ground Clearance should go from 7.6” to 9.1” since the tires are stock size. Any tire wheel combo must be no larger than 30.5” diameter or you will begin to rub. There are bigger lift kits, but they need to resort to a drivetrain subframe drop which limits the lift of the drivetrain portion to no more than 1.5-2.0” even though the rest of the vehicle will be goingas high as 5”. the limiting factor is the angle of the CV joint, followed by the length of the steering column. The 1.5” lift here does not need a subframe drop but anything over 2.0” does if you want to avoid a noticable reduction in CV joint longevity.

i like real world videos and not TV produced Shade Tree Mechanics vids where bolts just fall off and parts separate like nothing....this really confuses the public when they are told their vehicle was a little bit stubborn and cost extra labor for doing the job.,...I know,, I worked on trucks in NY state for 30 years and until you try removing a hub bearing on a 2006 Dodge with a few taps of a hammer, you are sadly mistaken...but I loved my job

The splines on the axle shaft arent lined up. And you HAVE to torque that lower ball joint to spec. its a tappered socket. How does putting a space above a coil give you more load capacity? Fact: it doesn't.
