How about this for a system? You will try to predict each and every team as close as you can. For example, if you predict Slovan Bratislava to finish 36th and they finish 35th, you'll get a -1 point, if you predict them 36th and they somehow finish 1st, you'll get -35 points, you're gonna do the same thing for every other team. Basically, you want to accumulate as few negative points as you can. This is just for fun.

The new format is great. Facing different teams is much more exciting than facing the same teams twice. I think there'll be much more upsets. The only thing that can be disapointing is the tension in the end. I think there is a big chance that most teams know where they'll finish 2 or 3 games before the League phase ends... We'll see about that.

Well your finishing position only matters, if it's Top-8, 9th-16th or 17-24th for getting different outcome for knockout phase. Given some teams might of had their 'easy' opponents early while some teams play their 'easy' opponents as last two matches. Have to wait and see how it goes. To be fair I think only teams at the top with 6 wins could be sure they finish Top-8 no matter who they play as their last 2 games.

RB Leipzig did not lose any important player, beside Olmo and he did not even play all games last season. In fact he was left out in quite a few games. This team will rather be a very difficult side to beat for any other. They will quite comfortable be between the 9th and 24th place.

Interesting prediction and similar to mine. My AI even predicted the last three places in the same order! However, Bologna and Leipzig didn't go out so early in my prediction and entered the play-offs without any major problems. Instead, Benfica have covered themselves in very little glory. The teams for the play-offs look much the same to me. Only Arsenal was calculated as the sixth best team and Inter as the second best. On the other hand, Juventus and Barcelona were not rated as highly.

it really seems as though you are combining your expectations of the club with the schedule in mind but you are not really using the schedule. i actually created a schedule in excel where i shared out points for each match. i would say that for a team to make it into the top 24, that 8 points is a pretty comfortable minimum. even 7 points might get you in if the league has loads of drawn games.

Benfica fan here. I honestly don't think we go to the playoffs and I doubt we can even get 2 wins. The board has been making awfull decisions, Rui Costa is a dead man walking and the fans are asking for early elections. Everyone wanted Roger out at the end of the season, Rui Costa kept him, he made all the pre-season, made a squad for Roger and now he sacked him after seeing no improvement.
