Same here. Big respect to your motivation. I will pass HSK 5 probably this year or next year, super useful video for me :)
Hey Eileen! I've finally gotten good enough to understand some of your lower level videos (HSK 2, some HSK 3). I think your videos are really interesting and really immersive so I really like them! But can you do some more "walking around" videos around HSK 2 level? Can people pls like this comment so she can see?? Thanks!!
I finished to study your lesson (1900 words) in round 1 for 2 months. Thank you for teaching a valuable, wonderful lesson

*TOO FAST?* Control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 5% at a time on desktop computers and laptops OR 25% at a time on smartphone! Access the playback speed controls as follows: *Desktop Computers and Laptops:* open the video, then go to the lower right of the video's screen and click on the settings icon (it looks like a GEAR). On the upper right of the options window that comes up, you will see the link "custom". Click on the "custom" link to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 5% at a time. *Smartphones:* open the video and go to the upper right of the video's screen. You will see 3 dots. Click on them and you will see the link to open the "playback speed" controls. Click on this link and you will be able to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 25% at a time. Note that viewing the video on desktop computer/laptops gives you greater control over the playback speed (5% vs 25% on smartphones).

Eileen you are an absolute godsend. Even as a Japanese person, Chinese can be very challenging. I cannot believe we are getting this high quality content for free

Teacher, thank you for these lessons. I really appreciated in the HSK 1 video lesson the addition of literal interpretation. That really helps me when hearing and understanding from a more native perspective.

SO good. Thank you thank you thank you. 5 words a day for the whole list is about 9 months, which leaves a couple months for study if you want to go from HSK 4 to HSK 5 within a year.

What's the difference between these new HSK complete series and the older HSK videos which were split up by nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc? Are the older videos still worth using? Or should I just use these newer ones?
@MandarinCorner2 Жыл бұрын
The new HSKs have much better audio and video quality but are not organized by parts of speech, such as verbs. However all the new HSK videos have timestamps which are allow you to more easily target your studying and repeat words/sentences you want to remember. The old HSK videos were organized by parts of speech which some students prefer but since they were our first videos done over 5 years ago, the audio, video and production quality were not high. They were also presented in roughly 30 vocabulary words per video fashion. Despite the obvious flaws in the production quality, thousands of students still found the old videos very useful. Ultimately, it depends what is more important to you: video production quality (new HSKs) or how the vocabulary is organized and presented (old HSKs).

@@MandarinCorner2 Thanks for your reply Mandarin Corner. Just a couple more things. 1. I assume the example sentences are different between the older videos and the complete ones? 2. Any plans to make a grammar series based on HSK or CEFR levels?
