I watched Ryan and Sharpay's version right before this and I know the movie had them change Kelseys song to demonize and establish them as bullies who don't care about others or something but had they sung it like this it would have been really creepy as they're supposed to siblings making it faster and more upbeat made it seem less romantic since the lyrics alone can be applied to platonic love. And really Kelsey has been the composer for school musicals for awhile now and Sharpay and Ryan love theater, definitely practice and do work outside of school, and always come prepared with their best to school auditions so why was she offended when they changed the song so they could audition together (without it being awkward and incestuous) when it seems like the movie is implying this is something they always do. Ryan and Sharpay always get lead roles mostly cause they seemed to be the only ones who were serious about the auditions outside of Troy and Gabriella who both seemed to have things they found really important outside of theater which isn't a bad thing but theater was Ryan and Sharpay's thing it was their passion and suddenly two people who never showed any interest in theater and didn't put the hours they probably put into it everyday (have you seen theater kids practice) come in steal the lead (of a show that apparently only had 2 leads and couple supporting characters) then hide that they're involved with it like it's some shameful thing. I'm not saying Ryan and Sharpay were nice or good and in the next movies they got even worse but in this one I can definitely see their point. This was a really long comment and the only reason I came and watched these HSM vids was because I just watched Tyler and Zoella's collab.

Am i the only who prefers Ryan and Sharpay's version? Don't get me wrong I love this version too but before the movie premiered, I remember Disney showing clips of the songs from the movie and the one that actually pulled me to watch the movie was Ryan and Sharpay singing this song.
