1986 Santa Clara Vanguard - You'll Never Walk Alone

Here's some rare footage from 1986 as video recorders were few and far between on a drum corps field. SCV hornline playing Walk Alone in the warm-up area on the drum corps field (some would call it the end zone of a football field). This is probably near the end of tour as everyone look pretty tan and thin. This is a perfect example of the pure energy and power from a very talented hornline from the 1980s. I'm not sure who sent me this, my appologies for not giving proper credit.

Interesting… why did SCV memorize/play this? Combined performance with Scouts?

Scouts and SCV used to get together during tour and have a sort of family day together and do a joint performance in a park. This arrangement was in our repertoire for maybe a decade so we could perform it with them.
