Good video man, clear and informative. Although, I had a problem. I did everything as per instructions, but my camera stopped working afterwards. Luckily I backed up before doing so and was covered. Have you had anyone else with this problem?

Coming from a iPhone 4, the standard button layout from Android means nothing to me and I had nothing to adapt to. Having said that I have installed Swipe Home Button and I will do this also, having all these options are great and speeds my performance usage.

Coming from the last 3 Nexus devices to the HTC One, I can say, it only took me about 2 days to get used to the button layout. After a while its just an after thought. But that's just my own personal experience.

hold the front of the phone under a light for 15 secs while holding power button, then keep holdin power button and volume down, try this a few times. Worked for me

Why does it matter that the home button is off center? I went from the iPhone 5 to this. Was it awkward at first? Sure, but that lasted all of two days before I adjusted and it's completely intuitive now. Also, much like the OP mentions, most people, myself included, don't have trouble reaching the power button and I don't have giant hands.

I am running ARHD10.3 and I am very familiar with rooting/flashing etc.. the 4.2.2 must be incompatible with this kernel because i got black screen and had to reboot 5 times to finally launch hboot (thought i was softbricked). good thing I did a nandroid :)

Hi Zeezeebo, I recently installed an update released on 4.1.2 which fixes the unresponsiveness of the buttons. I have had no issues since. Please try that before you decide to move on to another phone.

It is actually more accurate me using my thumb than finger on the back and triple feature home buttons, I hit it every time with thumb, most times with a finger tap, you have to tap quite hard also and hit a smaller area with the tip of your finger which is why you miss sometimes.

During the installation of this my screen changes the overall color to a more greenish one. is there something wrong or have they changed it?

There is a home button option in settings that makes it a menu button with long press, Google search with swipe up. Unless there is another practical use for the HTC Button don't mess with this kernel.

After doing this my camera will not open at all, error of "unable to start the camera" or if it does open its all black. I restored from my back up and it worked fine, but when I re-flashed this kernel same thing happens, any thoughts?

When I was flashing the kernel, my phone froze at the exact same time. But, I cannot get it to reboot. When hold the two buttons (power and volume down), the two stock home and back capacitive buttons start to flash. What should I do?

An alternative method would be to just flash AOKP. AOKP has 'logo 2 wake' built in. CM10 might, too...not sure.

So make sure u read an see which devices are compatible that just saved my brand new HTC one from being a very expensive paper wait good find tho maybe will come out for the sprint version soon but for now no it will not work an I think the international version won't work ether on certain version of build hope this help the confusion happy flashing

Yeah I'm pretty sure I did everything right. I'm on 4.2.2 Android Revolution 10.3 which may not be compatible or something. Too bad, it looked really cool, if they release a new version I'll just try again!

I think htc one has a problem with home and capacitive button. I notice that I have to press mine more than once for it to response. I love this so much but I may return it and buy SG4.

Aha! I got it to work. Surprisingly enough, I let it die overnight and after a little charging, it is back to normal. Potential tip to people with freezing problems.

the capacitive buttons pulsating option is wicked! I'm going to get the One soon but too scared to do this on my own. Too many steps lol. Boot, recover, flash, kernel, etc lol it's too much! I don't wanna risk it on a $600 phone :-(

Whell the htc logo isnt captive at al i self made a programm that will look if there is a touch on the three pixels above the logo. There is no need to rom your phone to do that....
