Love the weird mix of tones here, foreboding and tranquil in equal measure. I feel like some people would say this is too lighthearted for Isaac, but I find the original soundtrack gets exhausting after a while because of the constant gloom, and I crave stuff like this to keep the game fresh.

Actually, I'm honestly quite fed-up with the ambiant tracks of the first three chapters... No offense to Ridiculon, and I know that it is EXACTLY what they were going for. But it just bores me for the most part, although Repentance's OST truly impressed me. I feel he improved as well. Someone said that Ridiculon's work is more fitting of a video game, while Mudeth's works perfectly on its own. I think it is why I like it better : I can see myself listening to it during my morning commute. I probably wouldn't with Ridiculon's.

You and Ridiculon both bring amazing soundtracks to Isaac. I like to see this as less of a competition of "who's music can fit Isaac better" and more of amazement that two VERY different takes on Isaac can bring their own unique and fresh flair to the game. Ridiculon did fantastic with Repentance's new tracks, and I can't wait to see how you take Repentance (especially Dogma, that'll be interesting to see how you tackle that one). The ANITBIRTH people chose the right musician. When I play Fiend Folio, I think of EXCLESIOR and I feel their track fits the odd and slightly quirky monsters that encompass that entire mod. When I play Vanilla, i think of Ridiculon - outlining a more intrinsically designed horror element to the world of Isaac. But when I think of the mod that fundamentally "changed the game" (if you may excuse the pun), I think of this soundtrack. It's more of a film soundtrack than a videogame soundtrack, each song giving life and depth to the area it correlates to, as well as a sense of hopelessness. Amazing work. I also play your soundtracks a lot on the piano, and I've been inspired by the likes of you, Danny Barankowski, RENREN, Ridiculon, DarkEye, PShadow, and more. Thank you for your contribution to the community!

In a game like Isaac where you replay different parts of the game over and over, it’s better to have a more memorable soundtrack rather than an atmospheric one. Thank you for making me enjoy playing by this game for many more hours than I would have without your amazing soundtracks, especially this one. Some may say it doesn’t fit Isaac or is too upbeat, but I hear it for what it is, a really amazing song.

I adore how the same instrument and accompanying melody in this track can be heard in Flashpoint as well, really sets up a duality between the two themes. At the same time, they're different in that the melody here gives off a flowing, mysterious feel, while Flashpoint's has a much more melancholy and tragic aspect to it when combined with the other instruments.

I've been thinking about this one quite a bit. It captures a great mixture of serenity, dread, solice, tranquility, & having to continue forward. I love continuous repeating varying high pitched arpeggios like this in songs. It creates this ethereal quality to the music. They often use this for underwater or ice/snow levels, the most well-known example being probably the underwater theme in the 1st Donkey Kong Country. The piano gives it a sorrowful/nostalgic feel. The guitar then brings the mood up, making the song feel hella cool 😎 The piano then takes back over, doing some darkly beautiful melancholic melody, keeping the listener invested. Later the strings have their turn to shine for a short bit, giving some poignant notes, before giving it back to the hella cool guitar. 😎 It generally gives unsafe/uncertain vibes, like you're a little baby that could die at any time... But you'll have fun fighting and facing adversity. It reminds me a lot of Maridia theme in Super Metroid, in terms of mainly just vibes. All in all a really wicked tune. Loving it. 💙

One day I was having a retrospective on the soundtrack of rebirth + dlc and antibirth. I concluded that while rebirth's ost was good at what it had to do and fit the themes of the game, it relies way too much on electric guitars on most songs, this is specially apparent with the repentance alt path. It's ok, they are good and they got better as dlc kept releasing, it fits the game but the songs may end up blending together and doing the same thing. I also concluded that the antibirth ost tried a lot more to diversify what every song wanted to be, they have very different and liberal approaches while trying to use different leading melodies and instruments that differ more from each other than how they did in the original. A fan favorite, machine in the walls, doesn't even need a single guitar or anything from another song to be unique and go hard on it's own thing. Every song it's just it's own little bubble of style.

I was taken by complete surprise when i heard this ingame (modded), the sheer vibe of it makes the game feel like something new, like a place of danger or like you shouldnt be there. it really adds so much, and its still really cohesive with the rest of your prior tracks. Good job finishing your soundtrack out!

I'll admit I was a bit nervous when this track dropped, flooded caves being one of the few area themes from rebirth i actually liked, but like damn, it's so gooooddddddd I love the calmness in this one, plus the percussion as always is top tier. You're doing amazing stuff mudeth and we thank you for it

I've always been a big Ridiculon defender. And Flooded Caves had one of my favourite songs in the entire game. But man... This just hits different. This is almost too good to be an Isaac track. Well done, Mudeth.

Ridiculon has gotten wayyy better over time, the entire repentance ost is a banger! I just.... don't like the base rebirth tracks much. The womb, depths, catacombs ect just gets reallllyy grading imo and the rest goes from just kinda ok to good
