Ever since the pandemic potential of b18b1 and b20b non VTEC build has cost mofo the p8r head to rise in price. Videos like this and info is great. Started mines way before this video, but it started getting expensive. I'm not done yet but I should see 200+ soon. Finally got my p8r head. Currently on e85 193/151tq

Had similar setup with itr piston and crower cams pulled hard,it's a different animal with out vtec instant power. I like how u show the 2 step with HTS,I run s300 on my turbo b20v. Keep it tuned up

I have a similar setup,but built head with crower 404's and stock block! If he gets some Crower 404's and dual springs with titanium retainers he will have 185Hp+

6:22 that rattle is 100% either the timing belt cover or the tensioner going out, I remove the timing cover on all my b series builds and just clean it with soap and water every time I wash the car

Hey Hunter, on a different topic, when boosting an NA motor, does the IAC valve need to be plumbed into the intercooler piping or can I just put an small filter off it. I think u mentioned this on the Miata build that it’d be a boost leak ?

Idle air control is never installed in the intercooler pipe intake air temp is.

To me it looks like when you let off the throttle it went 8.0 which would be do to WOT fueling then the air flow being snapped shut and getting a large dose of fuel with no air. No?

I got a stock gsr same header and intake shoots a 5 foot flame on limiter and two step sounds like an ak tuned on hts I got lots of videos to prove it you use it on the old school chip the same way just better software the only thing I had problems with was boost cut but working sometimes in my buddys turbo d I tuned about 75 cars on it and I love it the pops and bang are like no other

You should order yourself a $4 roll of desoldering wick. MUCH easier than a sucker. Probably gets more solder too.

I’ve tried the wick and didn’t have good luck when i tried it like 10 years ago I’ve had best luck with the sucker

@@HunterTuned Solder sucker works too. When you use the soldering wick, you have to use flux too. And the iron should be 750-800*F. Apply the flux to the solder spots on the board, lay down the wick, press the iron to the wick and it sucks it all up pretty easy. Flux is key when soldering anything. The solder just jumps into the metal when it's on there.

The yihua soldering soldering station with sucker is the best thing to happen since sliced bread. Can get a whole board sucked in 10 minutes first try everytime. Parts are cheap and available.
