Sorry for the confusion. In this video I'm demonstrating how you can set up a secondary set of maps to essentially turn the popcorn off on the fly. In this scenario when you're activating the secondary maps it's taking off the ignition table retard that causes the popping. The parameters are still the same though. This means fuel cut is still disabled and it's still dumping fuel when you're decelerating. The best way to truly have a popcorn mode on and popcorn mode off is to use two timer which is where your chip has two separate tunes allowing it to have a whole set of different parameters as well. Versus just secondary fuel and ignition maps.

how do i connect hts to my 90's grand cvic with d15b2 and an pm5/p04 ecu? i cannot seem to find it online anywhere, everyone say that the pm5 ecu is useless so can i use another ecu?

You will have to convert to obd1. pm5, pm6, pr3, pr4, pw0 - are the obd0 computers you can chip. HTS doesn't support obd0 from what I know. If so it may be upon request. TurboEDIT is the program for obd0. If you want to use HTS you have to upgrade to multipoint injection and then upgrade to obd1. Then aquire one of the many obd1 ECU's. p05, p06, p28, p30, p73, p75 Socket the ECU and use an emulator or chip burner. If you want to use obd0 and turboEDIT then you need to still convert to multipoint injection and aquire a multipoint ECU that accepts a secondary program chip. You would need to socket the ECU for a chip and have access to a burner for said chips. Emulator for obd0 will probably be ostrich

You will need to knock down to obd1 to use HTS

You can turn them on but a wideband isnt going to save you if you dont know how to read it. Popcorn and launvh control is lean hot and mean when setup to sound like bang bang pop pop so even with a wideband you can still break your engine

Use the rev limiter parameter to choose ignition cut on and fuel cut off. Then setup the launch control to the rpm you like. When finding how much you want it to pop you can play with the enrichment button on the launch control parameter. Then you can go back to the rev limiter area and change the milliseconds time for launch cut delay. More time allows for more fuel to build up for a big bang spaced out. Less time is quick fires like an automatic gun. Find your sweet spot with the two parameter areas.

@@jonathanjalink1325 depending on which version of the base ROM you choose will determine if you see ignition cut as an option. I suggest downloading the latest version of HTS and using the ROM version 1.15

Usually leaning out makes it pop. So around the 60 fuel value or lower on stock injectors.

@@kooksgarage3301 that or just highlight the 1st column and then use the minus on the adjustments until it gets to Poppin. And make sure your ignition tables are set with a low ignition on the first column as well. 0 or lower should pop. Increase decel time only makes a amount of time it pops and then stops. Max of 2.6 seconds I believe.

Edit ignition tables to have a negative value during decel like in the video. First column to 0 to -6 closer to zero is a safer pop. Lean decel is needed as well. Rich won't ignite or needs a lean pop to help ignite if attempting to produce a flame. But its all done through the injectors decel cut getting disabled so it dumps fuel into the exhaust and ignites it on the exhaust stroke with negative timing

@@jgray7454 the software will erase and then burn and then verify the chip for you. You can save the file and then open it in flash and burn and then erase in flash and burn and then write it to the chip. If the chip errors every time then its possible a China copy and if you have a burner that adjust erase voltage they take 14v vs 12v like the real chips. Fake chips can be used with burners like the micro burner

@@hondaland_ im using moates burn 2. And everytime I try and read the chip it comes up error and the chip should be real. The chip and ecu came from a dealer and Ive verified with them. Also im still a noob so im really trynna get the hang of this too still

Yes. The Same concept is done you just have to do it manually. The fueling area is usually in the leaner side but a good trick to get the car to pop on d cell if you're having to slightly tap the gas to get the car to pop then you can do something like increase the set screw of the throttle body or increase the idle control screw

Tuning an engine without tools to measure what your changes are doing to the car and weather they have a positive impact or not is needed. A wideband being one of those things along with learning how to read spark plugs and gain overall knowledge of whats happening in your engine at any given moment.
